Dr. Claude Matthew Mcbee, MD

After speaking to other patients and seeing more reviews I regret ever going to this doctors office. He has a nickname of Dr. McBLEED because he has ruined so many surgeries! After multiple surgeries and continuing to have fluid in my legs, I FINALLY went for a second opinion after he said he wanted to do ANOTHER surgery. Going over to Bon Secours Vein was the best decision I could have made. They do some testing and realized I had lymphedema and got me the Flexitouch pump. NO MORE SURGERIES. They explained the need for lymphedema treatment and the importance of using stockings or wrapping my legs. Dr. McBee is only interested in what will make him money. I found out there’s no local lymphedema doctors so a lot of times the vascular doctors treat lymphedema too since no one else seems to help. (I’ve had fluid in my legs and bon secours vein was the first to ever mention it) TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR PATIENTS! Do surgeries if necessary but give us all the options! Thankful for my new… team and my flexitouch as I have the swelling down for the first time in ages!

Dr McBee diagnosed what i had and my visits to 3 other doctors did not find.

After 2 instances of being treated like an inconvenience as an inpatient needing surgical care, we've now found that the procedures were done wrong, leading to significant unnecessary pain and threat of infection. Will avoid this guy in the future.

Made us feel like family, and cared for us just as well. Was always there checking in - even on his days off.

I do not recommend him he has very poor people skills you are just a number to him and he will not follow up. I never saw him again after Surgery and I had major complications that were due to him not doing his job properly and not taking his time. I will never be the same again and he didnt care nor did I even get a call or letter after my horrible experience. I have now found out that he has a horrible reputation and he is not recommended by MANY! Wish I knew this before!
