I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Mcclelland. He was thorough, compassionate, and took the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything clearly. I was feeling quite anxious about my eye situation before my appointment, but his calm and reassuring bedside manner helped me feel so much more relaxed. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his patients and wants them to feel informed and comfortable. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent eye doctor.

I appreciated Dr. M’s gentle, thorough manner. His staff ran extensive tests prior to my meeting with him. I appreciated that I could have this done at one site, one visit. Dr. M also brings to this practice 10 years experience at the University of MN.

I feel that my visit with Dr. McClelland was thorough and very helpful. I was there for at least an hour and a half. My eyes were tested by five staff people. The last one was Dr. McClelland who assured me that my problems were more of just old age and not anything more serious.

Dr McClelland was very empathetic and spent the time necessary to diagnose my problem.

I am a 57 year old male with major strabismus due to an injury at work almost 35 years ago. I was given advice from an Opthalmologist just prior to seeing Dr Mcclelland that I should just continue to live with it. Dr Mclleland did a thorough exam and explained the procedure it was decided to go forward with a solution. After a lens was implanted and a short healing time Dr Mcclelland performed his surgery and things have gone very well. He is a very patient Dr and answered every question as it came up. I always felt very comfortable in his care. Dr Mcclelland is very talented and seems very precise in his work. My family and I are extremely happy that there is such a wonderful surgeon as this and the outcome of his efforts has been great. Thank You for everything.

Dr. McClelland operated on both my eyes to correct strabismus. For those who don't know, that's a nerve defect that prevents the eye muscles from responding properly. My eyes were off center and prism lenses in my glasses could no longer correct them. Dr. McClelland was very good about giving me all the information in my pre-op visits to make sure I understood everything about the procedure. He used adjustable stitches, allowing him to fine-tune the position of my eyes as I was awakened from surgery. It's been about 10 weeks since my surgery and I'm seeing very well with no prism correction at all. My regular ophthalmologist had recommended this surgery about 3 years ago, but I was intimidated by the thought of eye surgery and put it off as long as possible. Now I'm very happy I finally went ahead with it.

Dr Mc Clelland gave me a vital life back. This man now holds a place on my hero list along with my open heart surgeon and my cardiologist. I had extreme double vision - he diagnosed further my situation for another doctor on my case who referred me to this man . Dr. McClelland came up with the deepest diagnosis-explained to me the issues and the long journey here. After grumbling I bought into his ideas and went a full 2 year journey to the final surgery. I now have full vision of both eyes which now work together-I see 20/20 or better in both eyes-not a hint of double vision and no prism glasses to be had! Im extremely happy with this man-he worked with me and my temperament until the end result. And then when he was please I was pleased and my life is now going on with vitality!!! This man is good!
