Dr. Constance A Wurzbacher, MD

I have been a patient for about 10 years. Dr Wurzbacher always makes you feel like you are the only patient on her schedule. If you have more questions or concerns she always spends time to make sure she has addressed everything. Warm & personable.

I really hate to give someone a poor review, but I went to her several years ago for my very first Pap smear. She seemed nice but cut me off a lot. When I tell you that pap was sooo painful, I was screaming! The exam, psychologically, discouraged me from getting another one for FIVE YEARS! I know I could have set up a dangerous situation by not getting regular checks but Pap's shouldn't be that painful! I found another doctor and I'm comfortable with getting regular check ups now.

She botched my son's circumcision and didn't bother to tell me or explain why he was gone for two hours with only a nurses message "they can't stop the bleeding". We are going to children's hospital to have a surgery to fix it now. Everything else mentioned above is true... She will be quick, talk over you, and get out the door. Thinking it's probably time for retirement...

I went today for my visit. I had pain on my left side and im in my 20 th week of pregnancy. She walked in and rushed through everything. I tried to explain how i felt she kept cutting me off saying no it cant be that. I tried to tell her again she cut me off again saying no. she told me to take Advil or alieve i said what about Tylenol, since i have issues with bleeding before this. she said No! just take what i said. I have never felt so horrible in my life.

Please never go to her. I went to her twice during my first pregnancy and she was incredibly rude to me both the times. I remember when I learnt I was having a missed miscarriage, how insensitively she stated all the facts upfront without giving this devastated person a chance to take a breath first. She kept mentioning that I might even die of excessive bleeding while miscarrying if i don’t go for d and c. Times like these are so challenging and if a doctor communicates to you empathetically, it makes a huge difference. I changed my ob who told me that since I had missed miscarriage at 6th week only, natural miscarriage is my safest bet and I do not need d and c. I thank god I trusted her.

I have no experience with this doctor except for that one visit that felt very rushed. If she slowed down a bit, been more gentle with her examination (I mentioned I had trauma with such exams), it might have been a better visit. It felt like my pain was brushed off and reasons for my spotting were left unanswered. It was a whirlwind of a visit and I did not feel assured that I was fine. She may be a good doctor but least bedside manners could have a huge room for improvement.

Overall this pracitce is full of great Dr.'s. Dr. W talks so fast and is all over the place in her appointments. I am not used to a gyno being so abrasive in personality. She needs to slow down and explain more about her course/plan of action for her patients. Our questions/concerns are a big deal, especially when it comes to family planning. I don't like feeling rushed and walking out of her office realizing that she didn't bother answering my questions. I have heard this from others and decided to give her another chance. Sorry that I did.

One of the best doctor visits I've had. She helped me feel comfortable and took the time to listen to my concerns. I felt very well cared for. Thank you!

Dr. Wurzbacher and every doctor at For Women Inc have been nothing but great. I have gone to them for years, gave birth to my first baby two years ago and they have been nothing but fantastic. I had special circumstances/high risk pregnancy and they were on top of every thing, very thorough, and made me feel at ease about everything. Can't say enough!

I transferred to Dr. Wurzbacher 19 weeks into my second pregnancy because of a job relocation. My first question to the physician was if she delivered at Bethesda North Hospital. Her response was "yes, all of the partners deliver at Bethesda North, but I recommend you deliver at Good Sam in case your baby aspirates or has some other emergency. The baby would be transferred to Good Sam and you would be stuck at Bethesda North separated from your child." I was given hospital registration paper work to complete with two hospital options to choose from: check the box where you will deliver a) Bethesda North b) Good Samaritan Hospital. I checked Bethesda North. In addition, I checked the hospital website to verify that Dr. Wurzbacher had privileges at Bethesda North and it says she does. After 3 doctor visits, I tried to schedule my C-section only to discover Dr Wurzbacher nor her partners have privileges to deliver at Bethesda North.Had to change Drs 30 wks pregnant and can't get a refund… for the money I already spent. In addition, her bedside manner leaves little to be desired.
