Dr. Cornelius Flowers, MD

This was my mother's first visit after he was highly recommended to us. Thoroughly impressed, he was very knowledgeable & personable, never felt rushed ...he spent time explaining everything in detail.

A mother of 3 I started seeing Dr. Flowers after diagnose of a cardiomyopathy and HBP after the birth of my 3rd chile. I cannot say how caring and comfortable he made me feel during what was such a scary time for me. He thoroughly explained my diagnosis and treatment plan. I had such anxiety about my condition but Dr. Flowers gave me such peace about my recovery. Most importantly he continued to give me valuable information and guidance on how to become a healthier me. His bedside manners are the best. I never felt rushed during appointments. In fact at one appointment where I had what I considered almost a mental breakdown from worry and anxiety about my condition, he encouraged me and showed such genuine concern for how I was feeling and by the time I left there I was determined to do whatever I needed to do to have a better health for me and my family. After being in his care for 3 years I can honestly say that he has been a Blessing to me. He is Truly the type of doctor the… medical field needs

I left after several visits because the manner in which Dr. Flowers addressed me after my last follow up visit was appalling. I was spoken to in a condescending manner as if I was a child (in fact, he often referenced this 50+ year old by using the term "baby girl"). He roughly and repeatedly refused my requests to complete some much-needed paperwork that was critical to my applying for additional sick leave and time off for a heart ailment caused by chemo treatment. He instructed me to see his assistant for help instead. All the while I had to listen to how much paperwork he had to do, how behind he was, and how he worked well into the early morning hours to catch up. Arrangements were made after the follow up, but when I contacted the facility someone had to email him about my request because no one knew what was previously discussed. His staff person emailed him, then called me back immediately and told me he would do the paper I asked for originally. But this came with… a dressing down about how I was only allowed 15 minutes (I was reminded of this constantly) with a drawn-out explanation about charges for paperwork, legal differences between treatment and other procedures, and told, in a patronizing fashion, that he had done some favors for me already (this was not brought to my attention until that moment, but it was clear that I needed to be "grateful" for what he had done already. He then stated that the situation had gotten out of hand (a reference to my repeatedly having to come in to ask that certain things be completed so that I could send or take necessary forms to my employers regarding my work leave) and that he would have to "give this up" . Although he arranged to do a workup for me, I no longer respected him or trusted his judgement, so I cancelled all appointments and left. I am currently seeking another physician, one with both medical and people skills who puts patient well being and need first and who will not leave me feeling belittled, stressed, and tearful about asking for and/or receiving assistance.

He is best. I feel great about seeing Dr. Flowers. The wait was short about 5 minutes. He made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. He knows his stuff.

He was just the greatest. I was treated like I had been his patient for years. I canot enough good things about Dr. Flowers. Anyone who sees him will be impressed with his bedside manner.

One of best doctors I have encountered. Knowledgeable, refer to other physicians as necessary, caring, and ensure that patient understand their medical diagnosis and the measures that have to be followed to keep the patient as healthy as possible.
