Dr Cohen is the best! He’s very knowledgeable and thorough. He puts you at ease and is not an alarmist. Highly recommend him!

I was looking for a competent and caring cardiologist. Much to my absolute surprise, I was blessed enough to find one in Dr. Cohen. He definitely is a doctor who is knowledgeable, informative, and highly qualified. I trust him and that is pretty hard to do..

Not very thorough, wait over an hour in waiting room and then another half hour in exam room, spends very little time, and is not very helpful in answering questions. Hard to book appointment with him as he is not in a lot maybe 2 or 3 days a month, plus he never calls back, his staff is very rude and they lose lab results and paperwork. Will not renew prescriptions unless you go for office visit, and they charge you double for many things. Staff has large turnaround. There are so many other better cardiologists in the area why would you want to waste your time? I switched and very happy I did, did not feel confident with him at all.

Dr. Cohen is an excellent doctor. He spends a lot of time listening to your questions & concerns. The only issue I have is that the fact when I need an immediate follow up visit I always need to call back because of schedule of when your Doctor will be available is at the Port Jefferson office is not available. In all my years (76) I have never visited a doctor's who was unable to make a follow up visit before leaving his office. Hopefully, however does the scheduling for this office should wake up and smell the roses. Highly rated doctors who are inaccessible due to poor scheduling practices. Makes no sense to me.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR if you want to live. 3 appointments were cancelled, 3 months had to wait to see him for results and he told me that I had a heart attack. His responsibility was to call me with the results as soon as he got the report, not have me wait 3 months to see him He should have told his staff, get this patient in NOW.Every time the appointment was cancelled I asked for my results and was told when you come in he will tell you! It's a good thing I lived to make the appointment. I also had a procedure that was not necessary. He is irresponsible and not dedicated to his patients lives. No excuse for not calling to tell me the results. There are so many good, dedicated doctors out there, find one. The staff is rude, and have no compassion for you. Try to get an appointment if you are not feeling well, they don't care, you still have to wait over a month to get in. Do not go to this practice!

Dr Cohen is very nice - BUT you have to wait over a month to see him as he is not in this office many days - PLUS his staff is VERY RUDE. Shop around - there are so many other cardio doctors around - he doesn't seem to care that his staff is rude to his patients. Plus if you need a renewal for a rx, they will not give it to you the policy is you have to make an appt.

Dr. Cohen is held in my highest regard. He has a commitment to the quality of medicine he administers. This is coupled with a level of caring for patient's well being including related family members, the likes of which I have never seen before. He is a true gentleman and a true professional.
