Dr. Courtney Webb Ridner, MD

I went to see Dr Ridner with progressive vision loss in my right eye. I waited more than an hour to be seen. Once I saw Dr Ridner he spent about 5 minutes with me and told me I had dry eyes. I was told to use drops and return in one year. A second opinion told me I did not have dry eyes and ordered an MRI. They found a large pituitary tumor causing severe optic nerve compression. I just had surgery for the tumor. I felt that Dr Ridner was only interested in signing patients up for cataract surgery. Missing a brain tumor causing progressive, unilateral loss of vision is not acceptable for any reasonable ophthalmologist. I do not trust his judgement and would not recommend in any way.

I am in the process of looking for a malpractice lawyer. This man did so much damage to my husband's eyes I only hope we can get it resolved. Stay far far far away from him. He is a quack.

Dr. Ridner is just the best. He is down to earth friendly and quick puts you at ease! He explains the problem you have and if you still don’t get it he shows you as he did my daughter who was very uneasy about her surgery. Most drs would have walked out but not him He made sure she was clear with a smile. Both our surgery’s went wonderful!! He’s the best??

Best bedside manner of any physician I've ever encountered.

Extremely kind and thorough. Introduced himself by first name. Felt very comfortable during our meeting. Had been managed by another community eye doctor for years and knew more about my glaucoma in our 15 min office visits than all my years with the other doctor combined. He now takes care of most of my family members. I totally trust him and so glad he settled here to practice!
