Dr. Craig Louis Brown, MD

Dr. Craig Brown is the best example of what a doctor should be like. He was caring, gave me as much time as I needed at office visits, and listened to my concerns. Surgery was not the first thought in his mind and was so respectful when I declined it. After much deliberation though and further tests I agreed to it and it turned out so much better than I imagined. I wish I could see him as my one and only doctor! He has a good sense of humor too.

Just WOW! Dr Brown was amazing from the word go. I had a bowel resection surgery with a fistula as well as disease all along my abdominal wall. Dr Brown did a amazing job with my surgery and I was feeling pretty good within about 10 days which is just remarkable. If me or anyone else I ever meet/know needs colon or rectal surgery I will definitely recommend Dr Brown to them. Dr Brown also is incredible at communication as he gave me and my wife his personal cell phone and responded to texts/calls usually within roughly 30 minutes. As a side note - I didn't have the Dr Strutt or Sellers but they both came to visit me in the hospital while Dr Brown was doing surgery at a different hospital and both were wonderful. Overall this group is the best medical care and communication I have ever had in my life. If they allowed a sixth star I would be giving it!!!

Our experience with Dr Brown was long ago- about 15 years ago. Even so we remember and think of him with smiles and gratitude. He was so compassionate to understand the amount of pain involved; he assured us the problem could be fixed and did so (through a small surgical procedure) very quickly! He is a life saver!-- very competent and professional while also being kind and thoughtful.

In my later years I thought this was the way it was going to be until I met Dr.Rufner, then Dr. Brown. It has been three months since my colon surgery and it is very clear to me that these doctors have opened a much more relaxed life for me. Thank you Sirs!!

He is a more caring and determined specialist in which he explained everything in detail in a friendly manner. I have been suffered a lot for a protracted period of time being treated wrongly by many other doctors prior to Dr. Craig Brown. The moment I met Dr. Brown after I was refered by my current family doctor I feel relieved cos he demonstrated all the symptoms diagnosis and how the precedere performed. From there we set an appointment up for surgery, we meet there he once again prepared me prior to my initial surgery . Though it was my first experience I was satisfied with the first result; everything is going well as planned. Moreover he is more than willing to get in touch for follow up through telephone . I appreciate all the staff members in setting appointments and office communications with an excellent service.

Not only did he save my life, but he was kind and attentive and funny along the way. I couldn't recommend him any more highly!

I went to Dr. Brown for the first time four months ago for an anal fissure that was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. And I know pain all too well. I think I could handle just about anything but this was beyond me. I had spent the prior month in bed with spasms, the feeling of a knife digging and twisting deep inside of my body, and extreme burning and throbbing. I was received by him with warmth, understanding, validation, and professionalism. He was so astonished by the gravity of the fissure that he selflessly offered to rearrange his schedule and do surgery the next day in order to alleviate my suffering. I stupidly did not do the surgery for several weeks, as I was scared to have a procedure done on that area of my body due to other complicating GI issues. He strongly urged me to do so but also respected the process I needed to go through. Fast forward. I had the LIS surgery and OH MY GOD. I was so grateful to this man. The pain subsided over the next week or two and… I was no longer writhing in agony. I unfortunately developed an anal fistula shortly after. He properly diagnosed it after a misdiagnosis by my GI doctor and we went into surgery two days later for drainage and a seton placement. The first week or two was a bit rough but since that time the pain has been less and less and less. I truly could not say enough good things about Dr. Brown. He is kind. Forthright. Brilliant and skilled. Wise enough to perform procedures that need done to relieve the acute distress, but with a healthy dose of caution to avoid long-term complications such as incontinence. He has a lovely bedside manner as well and I felt very reassured in his presence. His confidence and strength made me feel that he absolutely is capable of managing these situations. I have had the good fortune of working with excellent specialized doctors for my array of chronic health issues for many years and am very skeptical of new doctors who might not be able to understand my situation as a whole or judge me or not be so adept. But Dr. Brown was exceptional. I feel safe with him. His number one priority is to see his patients not suffer and he goes to tremendous lengths to make that happen. I have talked to other patients of his in the waiting room as well as other doctors in the field. Unanimously all agree he is one of two or three colorectal surgeons to consider in Colorado. I feel blessed and forever grateful that Dr. Brown came into my life. I was in so much misery prior to working with him and am almost at the point where I do not even notice my rear end. Amazing. His front office staff and Julie Maes, his surgery scheduler, are also wonderful. All around. Awesome. Undying gratitude.

He is a wonderful doctor. This was a trying time in my life and he made it better. He explained my choices for treatment extremely well. He really let me have as much time as I needed to ask every question (sometimes twice). My regular doctor recommended him to me and I am glad he was my surgeon. I had 4 colo-rectal surgeries. I was in so much pain before I met doctor brown and I had a bad infection, etc.... I am doing so much better because of this doctor. Thank you
