Dr. Craig Scot Kimmel, MD

Problems with Left knee on a path for eventual replacement. Following the usual route of Cortisone injections and Monovist injections, through consultations with Dr. Kimmel, we decided I was a candidate for Placental Stem Cell Therapy (SC) in conjunction with Packed Red Platelets (PRP). Tons of literature available with positive results. Dr. K is a leading physician in this type of therapy. Procedure consisting of a SC / PRP cocktail injection guided by ultrasound was ~ 1 hour with the majority of time taken with the PRP prep. I was receiving 1 injection of Monovist every 6 months. It is now 6 months following procedure and knee is much better with relatively full range of motion and little pain. No need at this time for further treatments. I have not done a follow up X-Ray to gage re-generation, however, given the outcome, I am inclined to believe there is significant improvement in both cartilage and soft tissue. No excuses for not doing my exercise routine now. 5 Stars for Dr. K! By… the way, Dr. K had the same procedure on his knee.

Dr. Kimmel is one of those rare, knowledgeable physican's that LISTENS to what you have to say before moving forward with diagnosis and commentary. His approach is easy conversation aimed at understanding the patient problem and providing the appropriate support, be it guidance, therapy or more extensive medical procedures or intervention ... but on a stepped, "measured" basis, which I truly appreciated.

DR KIMMEL WAS THE THIRD DOCTOR I'VE SEEN FOR MY FOOT PROBLEM. AFTER 3 YEARS OF FUSTRATION WITH THE BIG NAME CENTERS IN PHILA. SOMEONE FINALLY LISTENED TO ME. HE DID HIGH SPEED VIDEO AND COMPUTER ANALYSIS AND GOT ME BACK TO RUNNING WITHOUT SURGERY OR DRUGS.
