Dr. Cristina Sobrado Marin, MD

After an extended amount of time waiting (almost 2 hours and seeing others get called in that had arrived after), I asked a woman dressed in gray scrubs who opened the door to call in a patient if she can please check on status for my mother and she looked me in the eyes and closed the door on my face. I reasoned she may not have heard me. Multiple patients get called before I decide to ask again but to my surprise the door got shut in my face again after acknowledging my question and making direct eye contact with me. She just smirked and dropped the door and let it close. A woman sitting behind me in the crowded waiting room that witnessed what had happened immediately started talking about how rude this worker was before I even made it back to my seat and offered me kind words. For the next few minutes the whole waiting room was talking about the encounter and other bad experiences they have experienced with the staff and doctors here. The biggest surprise of all to me though was… that this was not an employee… this woman turns out to be the doctor- Dr. Christina Marin. YIKES! Imagine my surprise when the doctor walks in and the doctor turns out to be the woman who rudely slammed the front door on me TWICE. Now I will say that this could have been a stressful day as apparently the office is going through a merger and there were quite a bit of patients waiting but even this does not justify the closure of a door on someone especially a patient. I asked Dr. Marin in person why she did that as I wanted to clear the awkward air when we were face to face and her response was that she has patients to get through. She attempted to dismiss the whole situation and get back to business as usual without as little as an apology. She slammed one more door the one from our individual room after barging out without explanation or comment after being confronted to get a breather and for what I assume was to possibly check with the front desk as to what went wrong and verify long wait time before coming back in thankfully a more composed demeanor. After I assume she verified the delay with front desk she returned and apologized for the wait but never did for her behavior. She justified her behavior to it being a very busy day. I sincerely do hope she was just having a bad day but I had to share my experience as I was completely shook that what should be a professional who is entrusted with caring for human beings could behave in such a careless manner. I would be weary of Dr. Marin in trusting her to do a procedure under anesthesia if she unapologetically treats patients like this while they are awake. Needless to say, my mom will not be returning and I personally would never recommend this office. I can not trust someone who rushes through patients, openly treats patients this way, who has a hard time keeping her composure on stressful days, and even more worrisome who lacks the ability to take accountability with the care of my loved ones. I’m extremely disappointed that I took a recommendation to this place and did not check the horrendous reviews.

Yet another bad review for Ms Cristina Marin & her rude staff, they call me two days prior to my appointment to tell me to have my PCP send them my referral, after waiting over 2 months for this appointment, luckily my PCP worked fast enough to get my referral there on time so I can get seen, so the day of my appointment, I have a 3:30pm appointment, I get there 10 minutes prior 3:30pm & I walk into a small room full of people, (a Covid cesspool ) I wanna say about 30 people inside this small room & none had masks on, also people hanging out in front of the door. So everyone outside the office explained to me they have been waiting since 12pm, I then go to the window & ask how long will it take the doctor to see me for my consultation, no answer was given to me then to make matters worse the rude lady behind the window pretty much dismissed me telling me I can leave if I don’t wanna wait, Very unprofessional people & practice. They’re acting like the service is free or something & no… consideration of my time as if my time isn’t worth anything. My referral letter came with the doctors name on it vs coming with multiple doctor names so I can pick and choose who I want. As if their was a conflict of interest, I will call my insurance & hospital & make a complaint as you should so hopefully they stop referring her business because they don’t deserve it.

For the past 6 months Dr Marin has provided me with expert and sensible care for a critical health condition. During my first visit, she intensely listen to me about my health issues while taking an in depth health history. Even on her busiest days, she clearly recalls my history, looks up any needed details & addresses all of my questions. During all of my office visits, I have found Dr Marin has been a very positive & reassuring, honest & compassionate medical professional. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Although I feel the quality of all the medical service provided is 5 stars, I give 4 stars as my overall rating because there has always been a very long delay in the office appointment schedule.

Went to see Dr. Marin with stomach pains and diarrhea and she never even examined me and just scheduled endoscopy and colonocopy. Following week, I had to be rushed from ER to hospital to have laparoscopic appendectomy. I had peritonitis. She shows grotesque display of unprofessionalism and played with my life. She does not care about her patients and only cares about the money.

Provider is not informative enough when giving instructions in reference to treatments. Ineffective communication.

Very satisfied with Dr. Marin and her team. Timely and provided excellent care and education.
