Dr. Cristina Elena Savu, DO

I am posting this negative review of Dr. Cristina Savu’s medical office located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to inform the general public. This review is based on my opinion and personal experience as a patient of that office for a nearly 1 1/2 years. If you are looking for an attentive doctor and a professional, kind and helpful staff, this is NOT the medical office for you. In my opinion, the entire office staff is rude. This is the worst doctor’s office I have used as my primary care physician in my entire life. I am 63 years old. In the 1 1/2 years as a patient, I did not receive a one-on-one consult from Dr. Savu until after 15 months. I was only seen by a nurse practitioner in the office. This is completely unacceptable considering the enormous amount of money I pay for health insurance. When I finally met the doctor for the first time, she did not even introduce herself to me or say hello. I had no idea who the person was when she entered the consult room. I felt very… uncomfortable and like a stranger. This is not the level of medical care anyone wants from their primary care physician. I also had bad experiences with the office staff. None of them appeared to like their jobs or made you feel welcomed or appreciated as a valued patient. Collecting the co-pay seems to be the first and only thing that is important to them when you enter the office. Debbie the office manager was rude and unprofessional. When I questioned her about the fact that their office would not accept my Care Cash Card from United Healthcare, she told me that I should find another doctor. I was shocked. The Card is like a debit card that contains cash to be used to pay for medical services. Dr. Savu is part of the United Healthcare network of physicians and should accept the Card. My Card contains several hundred dollars and should have been accepted to cover the co-pay. According to United Healthcare, Dr. Savu’s office has not agreed to accept the Card. I contacted United Healthcare and this is what I was told. In my opinion and from my personal experience, I do NOT recommend using Dr. Cristina Savu as your primary care physician. It is a substandard medical office. I have found a new primary care physician who is far superior to Dr. Savu and her office.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Savu. Being at a doctors office is never pleasant but she made me feel at ease. I will be sure to recommend her to my friends and family.

I had a recent visit as a New patient with Dr. Fenton. I found her to be very relaxed and listened to my concerns. She was punctual and I didn't have to wait more than the time I took with my paperwork to be seen! I didn't feel rushed and I was pleased with the visit. The office is old but they are moving soon so that wont be an issue. I highly recommend Dr. Fenton!

Not a very nice doctor. Is very impatient. Has a heavy Russian accent that is hard to understand. Is overweight so I find it hard for her to tell anyone to care for themselves when she herself is out of shape. Has a God like behavior. She has been practicing less than 10 years. I would not recommend her to anyone because it's all about having a good attitude. I've had better doctors than her.

She has been my internist for several years. I highly recommend her!
