Dr. Curtis W Leong, MD

I had been seeing doctors non stop with my second child since she was 1 yr. she got fevers every 3-4 weeks and they were high. This lasted about 1.5 years. Doctors always just said it’s because she had an older sister and didn’t even look into it. Doctor Leone was the first to actually seems concerned and did extra testing and want me to keep track of anything to see if we could see patterns. He doesn’t waste his time and gets to the point (some people might not like that but I love it). He knows his stuff, so I switched him to be my primary doctor for my children.

I take my baby to see Dr Leong through Kaiser. He is great with him. He has seen him 3 times now, and every time has been a good experience. I wouldn't take him to any other doctor.

I went to see a doc at CPCMG extended care at Scripps Ranch since it is very convenient to home even though the primary care physician is at Regents Row. The first thing Dr.Leong tells me to do is to see her PCP with such sick issues and not go to them because apparently not all the sick records are recorded throughout CPCMG. And then my daughter was pretty sick with fever and she would not stop crying and I could barely hear him. He wouldn't want to explain his questions and rather give me a rude stare and ask the same question even though it didn't make sense to me. I thought my daughter's cry was disturbing him so much that he was literally rushing away from us. Oh well, being a pediatrician, I expect him to gather more patience and understanding before he sees toddlers like my daughter. I am not sure what he was going through if he was but I definitely never met such a rude and impatient doctor ever before. Even while stepping out, he asked me to take my daughter to her primary… doc if she still seems sick. I wonder what these extended hours are for ??

I brought my son to see Dr. Leong for a kindergarten physical. He was rude, and seemed put off by my sons nervous energy. He kept telling him to "SHHHHHH". If he gets irritated with children this easily, he may want to go into a different field.
