My father recently had a stroke and was referred here -- the wait was two months for an appointment. We were lucky and got into see another doctor and they told us it was lucky we came so quickly as he had a blood clot that needed immediate attention.

After a TIA mini-stroke, I was told that it would be over three months before they could get me in. Then I was called and told that there was a cancellation and that I could have it the following week. I asked off for work and showed up for the appointment -- they told me they didn't have any notes of the call and that I didn't have an appointment. After getting the office manager involved she said yes it was her who called me but because I didn't call the day before to confirm they gave my appointment to someone else. When the appointment was made nothing was said about needing to confirm the day before. I just think that it is a poor pracice and their lack of wilingness to try and work me in after the misundstanding/confusion was not good customer service. It is sad that they treat patients who need help that way. After I told my doctor what had happened -- he called another doctor and I now have an appointment in next few days -- no wait and I called to make sure I didn't need… to call to confirm the day before -- and the lady at the desk laughed and said no if everyone did that we would be on the phone all day and couldn't check in our patients -- we assume you're an adult and if you make the appointment you will be there. She did add that they did try to do phone reminders but that they would never cancel an appointment because they didn't get ahold of you. I am beyond disappointed and furious and I don't want somone else to go through this mess. You should just look for another doctor.
