I don't have that luxury unfortunately-nor do many. When Dr. M talked to me she said "you vitals are normal-you don't have a temp-it's 96.8." All I did was say I had taken it in the car and next thing I know, my clean catch wasn't deemed "reliable" & I was forced to undergo catheterization, and being allergic to iodine, let's say what they used as a "sterilization" agent: NEVER should be, and the MA at my regular doc's office knew it. She then tells me my urine "looks normal and so does your blood work." That was in 2008. As of yet, my PCP nor I, or myself have found records in my file (nor has Blue Cross) that for one, the blood making it to the lab (not that the lab couldn't have lost it:but the same for a separately) that how can a UA even by cath be "Normal in even appearance," if there's clearly blood in it w/ clots & it was just nasty looking and smelling-period-both times. I know this is prob TMI: but it's an illustration of this physician's inability to relate to a patient if… you can't even be honest-or civil? I am not a charity case-and BC's investigation was protracted-that tells you something there. It was a nightmare.
