Dr. Cynthia Gaye Susskind, MD

I was one of her last patients, her practice closed in 2012. Exceptional physician. There were no signs posted in her office and the person who stated that was Dr Susskinds husband girlfriend. She was excellent physician.

Closed because she is literally crazy. Last I heard her medical license was revoked. She had some kind of paranoid psychotic break. The office looked pretty crazy with little signs everywhere asking crazy request. When I asked having another with my 2 year old playing in the office she said, What if you get another one him. I was like, "He's two!!" and left.

Willing to discuss her diagnoses. Tends to make quick judgements but is usually right.

I am quite surprised that Dr. Susskind has received low reviews. Back in 1994, after running from doctor to doctor to find out why my muscles and brain felt on fire and I had no energy, I was referred to Dr. Susskind. At one point, I thought I had a brain tumor, was in so much pain that I thought I was literally dying! I was very detailed in giving Dr. Susskind every detail about my symptoms. After I told her my five to ten minute medical issues, I asked her if she thought I had a brain tumor. She said no she didn't; she said she thought I had fibromyalgia and to take an article home to read on fibromyalgia. I started on low doses of Elavil and within six weeks, I was sleeping like a baby, my energy returned and my pain disappeared. She still did a brain scan because I was convinced something serious was going on in my body. It came back normal. Dr. Susskind called my internist to see how I was doing about eight weeks later, and I told my internist to tell Dr. Susskind that… I was doing great and to please let her know I appreciated her prompt and accurate diagnosis. She was very kind and showed excellent bedside manners to me. I would recommend her to anyone!

I went to this Dr on a referral from my primary Dr. She was more concerned with asking my husband questions about himself and if he had any problems. I just sat there in amazement not quite sure what to say or do. I was having headaches and dizziness and was really concerned. She finally ask me some questions that made no sense at all and didn't even pertain to my problem. Told me I had issues with my Mother! Really? Take your chance with this one. Not sure how she became a Dr. And yes there was only one person up front and she hollered out to her what she needed and wanted. Poor girl.

OMG, this lady is a nut case! I went there on a referral and this lady said I had sleep issues... never in my life has this ever come up. Was diagnosed without testing then tried to put me on meds. I had to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours to go back, thank goodness for the lady up front. I feel sorry for her she did everything that she could and you could hear the the doctor in the back barking out orders to her and she did them with a smile (I do not know how). The lady upfront was the only other person in the office, and was the only one all there. The doctor I felt was trying to come onto me, asking questions that had NOTHING to do with my visit. And shouldn't doctors have good hygiene???

this doctor prescribed a very strong antidepressant medicine for my narcolepsy, not the right thing for me to take. thank goodness I found another doctor who knew what he was doing. i didn't feel comfortable with this doctor and the questions she asked during my appointment were strange and not related to my problem. I would not recommend this doctor.
