Dr. Stott holds board certifications in both Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He is a native of Tucson, Arizona, where he obtained a degree in nutritional science and in medicine from the University of Arizona. While in medical school, Dr. Stott coached football at a local high school, where he was introduced to the field of pain management by the team doctor, a physical medicine specialist. Following medical school Dr. Stott did his internship in family practice at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix followed by a three-year residency in Anesthesiology at the University of California-Davis Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident. During his residency he received training in pain medicine from Dr. Eric Grigsby, a pioneer in the field.

Following residency Dr. Stott worked as a clinical instructor at the University of California-Davis Medical Center before accepting a position as Director of Pain Medicine and Chief of Anesthesia at Doctor%u2019s Medical Center (DMC) in Modesto, California. Dr. Stott currently serves on the clinical faculty at the University of Utah Medical School.

In 1998, Dr. Stott relocated to St. George, Utah, where he and his wife Deborah, a critical care registered nurse, founded Zion Pain Management Center. In 2012 at the urging of several Las Vegas area physicians, Dr. Stott opened a second clinic in Henderson, Nevada to make his expertise available to patients there, including those patients who had been traveling to Utah from Nevada to receive treatment.

In his off time, Dr. Stott enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies, which include coaching high school football and power lifting. Dr. Stott is a nationally certified strength and conditioning coach.
