Dr. Dalton Edward Dove

Dr. Dove was the attending physician on a loved one at Wayne Memorial. To say that the medical care he provided was grossly inadequate is an understatement. He flat put lied to the family about needed cardiac care that could have and should have been referred to a cardiac center in Raleigh. He and his partner have no business running an ICU particularly for the poor and uneducated. It is a nightmare that should be investigated

Like many doctors in small towns like Goldsboro, Dr Dove covers many medical areas for which he really should provide referrals for patients. maybe it's payment maybe it's ego but patients ultimately suffered most. Elderly patients, particularly those who are African-American and poor in Goldsboro, who have the misfortune of ending up at Wayne Memorial often do not receive the thorough Cardiac Care that they need as was the case with my loved one. I watched Dr Dove and Dr Mayo grossly mismanage her when both knew full well that she should have been transferred to a much more advanced healthcare facility to save her life. Dr Dove even tricked her family into believing that one of the best hospitals in Raleigh would not know how to care for her heartso that he could keep her in Wayne county for the Medicaid dollars. The best thing you can do for your loved ones when they are in Goldsboro in that hospital is to get there as fast as you can and get them away from Dr Dove and Dr. Mayo -… unless they specifically have lung issues. These doctors are not heart specialists nor should they be allowed to provide specialty care in that area in an ICU.
