He is a great surgeon !. I was scrared and having second thoughts about a surgery. He stayed late, tried to relate to me, talked to me like the intelligent person that I am, treated me like a person, and eased many of my fears.

Dr. Joy is a fabulous surgeon and that's why he has a great reputation in the West Palm Beach area. IGNORE THE PREVIOUS "HORRIBLE SURGEON" COMMENT!!! We did thorough research on this doc before asking him to do my husband's surgery. He was spot on and the surgery went smoothly, just as he said it would. He explained everything that would happen before, during and after surgery so ER would be well prepared - and we were. His office staff is fabulous and will thoroughly explain everything to you as far as what you owe, don't owe, how insurance works etc...Overall experience with this doctor and his entire staff was terrific.

Took additional time to explain procedures not only to me, but my daughters....I would recommend him in a heartbeat.....Very caring bedside manner.

Excellent surgeon! Removed my, ruptured, appendix without any complications. I was up walking within 24 hours after surgery and discharged within 48 hours. Highly recommended.

He told me the patient one thing and my mom another thing about how many lymph nodes he took out. He messed up the first time on my surgery and had to redo it a year later. He apparently stopped taking my insurance but never told me so Im suppsed to pay out of network pricing now. And according to my insurance he charges way above average in this area.
