Dr. Damon R. Kuehl, MD

Dr. Kuehl set my arm, which was broken in two places. He was very thorough and obviously cared that the work he was doing was perfect. His demeanor quelled my anxiety. I knew that he knew what he was doing!

Went to the Ed and Dr. Damon Kuehl took excellent care of me. I was made to feel very comfortable with his easy bedside manner. Even when delivering news he knew I wouldn’t really want to hear, he took his time and made sure I understood every aspect. He spoke with my personal providers so there was indeed continuity of care. We are blessed to have Dr. Kuehl at our hospital!!

Ok, just a cut but that aint his picture- he really is the doctor from house. not the drug addict, the blond kid. Anyway, I just had a cut from a mandoline gone wrong but I was so convinced he was in the TV I googled his name and found this site. He is so nice and so kind, and well...movie quality. don't worry I am divorced. the finger is fine.

Three days of pain after falling out of bed and you would think my primary care physician would give a hoot. I knew something was wrong but couldn't be seen for two weeks. Went to the local emergency department and waited for ever. That place is busy. I saw Dr. Kuehl. First I suppose this is important but I have been going to a primary care doctor for 25 years. I have never had a nerve and joint exam like he did. When finished, he told me I had pressure on one of my nerves that would likely require surgery. He didn't do an MRI (Apparently they don't do them unless you need surgery in the middle of the night) but called my primary and told him to get one and set up an appointment for the surgeon. Didn't really appreciate it until I went to the spine center and she read the note from Dr. Kuehl and said I wish more ED physicians were like him. Anyway, good doctor. I am not sure what else to add but my husband seemed to like him too and he hates doctors.

Very nice and seems sharp. Was teaching a nursing student or medical student? not sure. Called me few days later afte ED visit to make sure I was doing ok. I talked to some friends in Roanoke, apparently the ED at RMH is really improved since I last lived here. You can say that again! We had no such care in Georgia. Was great experience.

Ok first, clearly the first reviewer either has the wrong doctor or is crazy.I found this website by searching for Dr.Kuehl's email. Carilion will not give it to me. They have patient follow up nurse I was refered to and they said they would send on message. THANK YOU. What an awful event but a happy ending. Thanksgiving travel and away from my doctor. Never been to Roanoke Memorial hospital? but wish I had him in Mobile. More importantly, can we transplant Dr. Kuehl to Bama?

Out of town for the first time ever with an awful injury. Landed in Roanoke RMH hospital based on the ambulance recommendations(asked me where I wanted to go...how's that for service). THANK YOU Roanoke county ambulance!!! Waited a bit to bee seen but busy ED, i get it. Sara my nurse was nice as can be and did everything.(i'm a dental hygienist) Enter Dr. kuehl. did an ultrasound right at the bedside! He made me feel better, and no major injuries. Spent an hour closing my wound. He even called my doctor in Atlanta and set up an appointment for follow up. Wouldn't have writen this if hadn't been surfing the web for his information to send him an email in thanks. Wish he was my regular doctor. FYI I still cant find an email -anywone know one, please post here.

I have spent much of my life in the ED due to a chronic health problem and wish I could have Dr. Kuehl for all the previous ED visits. Haven't met any ED physicians yet who even know what my disease is until him, and more importantly, he knew exactly what to do. Very nice, and if he wasn't in the ED, my primary care physician for sure.

A year ago I had to go to the Emergency Room due to severe pain in my right side. Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA (This doctor now works there) unfortunately I had this man as my doctor. From the moment he walked into the room he was rude. He immediatelytreated me like I was faking. Then proceeded to accuse me of being a drug seeker. Which I was not I was in severe pain I have never done drugs & don't appreciate being treated like an addict. (I found out after I was discharged he went around to the ER doctors & told them I was a drug seeker as well) so after spending 12 hours in the waiting room & then another hour in the Emergency room waiting on a doctor to see me & not one test being done I asked to speak to a patient advocate so I could file a complaint. I was informed that I was not the first to complain about this doctor & the other complaints were very similar to mine. So over a week I did some research on this doctor. Looking up his medical license,publications,… previous hospitals he has worked at & etc. He seems to have a problem with people that are on medicaid (Which at the time I was on) So if you have the unfortunate chance to have this man as a doctor & you are on medicaid beware.
