Dr. Dana Lyle Heikes, MD

Look into his record in NJ. My lawyer called him a butcher. Ruptured the membrane between my chest and lung cavity. Resulted in me being rushed to ER immediately following surgery. Lopsided breasts that made me feel worse about myself and bad scars. Left the practice to another doctor that didn’t provide the follow up care the Dr Heikes assured me of, which was to fix the mess he made. The lawyer I consulted with actually had another client AT THE SAME TIME with other complaints. Stay away.

I had been self-conscious about having small breasts for years & clothes not fitting right but I was really nervous that I would look fake or too big. I had a consult with Dr Heikes & told him my reservations and all the things that had kept me from considering the surgery. Dr Heikes was very professional and kind. He seemed to understand my fears and he explained everything very clearly and made me extremely comfortable about having the procedure. He never seemed to be in a hurry or make you feel anything but very important. The results of my surgery exceeded my expectations. I now look totally normal and my clothes fit so much better than they did. Dr Heikes is a perfectionist. He is understanding, kind and patient. He really listened to me and knew the results I wanted and delivered those to me. He explained all of what was going to happen before, during and after the procedure making me much more comfortable about having it done. His entire staff, especially his nurse… Tricia, was incredibly caring. They reviewed pre-op preparation in detail, answered all questions and called multiple times after surgery to monitor progress. Dr Heikes and his staff were readily accessible before and after surgery. This is one of the most professional, inviting and caring practices I have ever encountered. They have all taken great time and care to make sure all my needs were met and continue to do so. Dr Heikes has the right combination of skill and caring that are both necessary to deliver an excellent, successful result. It is refreshing to find such a rare combination of exemplary talent with true compassion and wonderful care. I cannot articulate the proper words to express my gratitude to him for his gifted handling of my surgery. I would give Dr Heikes the highest recommendation possible.

Dr. Heikes gives quality care. He's an excellent surgeon & he has a relaxed, informative, and compassionate bedside manner. I traveled 2 hrs. to see him because I knew people he had worked on who were greatly pleased with his work. I totally agree with them.

I was very pleased with. Dr. Heikis, in fact Its been 10 years since he did my surgery and everything is still great. I intend on going back to him to have them replaced since i have been told that a 10 year window is a good rule of thumb for doing so....

I have had several different cosmetic surgeries over the years by various doctors, all with excellent results EXCEPT for the one performed by Dr. Heikes. He is simply a terrible surgeon. I had extensive and extremely painful nerve damage for months following liposuction, followed by complete failure to heal properly. (I dont smoke and am in excellent health) Dr. Heikes admitted to a very poor result and offered to do a full tummy tuck to correct it. WORST decision I ever made was to let him do it. I have a very ugly deformed naval now (it used to be cute---before he touched it) along with a bad scar (other doctor's incisions look great) and STILL have sagging skin on my upper abdomen because of his poor judgement and low skill level. Whatever you do, avoid this doctor!!!!!
