I saw Dr. Roth yesterday and he performed laser surgery on my left eye due to a retinal tear. My regular ophthalmologist saw me and checked me first in his office in Toms River. He told me I had a retinal tear and I needed to have this addressed right away. His office worked to get me seen and treated by a retina specialist. I had never met Dr. Roth until yesterday when I walked into his office. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant, patient, and professional. The office was crowded and I was fitted in due to my situation. Dr. Roth examined me thoroughly and explained, in detail, what he would do to treat my eye. He knew I was nervous and talked me through and made me feel at ease as much as possible. The procedure took not long at all and I was back in my car and heading home. I am so grateful I was sent to him. I hope no one I know ever has a problem like this, but if they do, I’d highly recommend Dr. Daniel Roth.

Very thorough examination and explanation by Dr. Roth. They was very attentive and professional.

Dr. Roth was incredibly rude from start to finish. He jabbed a pointy metal tool into my lower and upper eyelids to "properly see the retina," and was angered when my reflex was to flinch and pull away. He didn't seem to understand that he was causing me pain and when I tried to communicate with him, he was very snarky. After telling him that he was causing me pain he angerly responded with "And?? I need to see the retina." He told me that I don't have the condition that my previous retina specialist told me I had, so I asked him what my condition is called - he responded with the name of the condition, I asked if it's likely genetic and his response was "Don't get excited. It's not definitely your condition." Additionally, he told me that I have a hole in my retina, but I should focus on pushing out my baby and come back in a year (I'm 8 months pregnant). My previous retina specialist treated holes and tears on the spot. This was a very traumatizing experience. I left the office in tears.

Excellent and quick help for an urgent matter

I was greeted by a friendly staff promptly. I was received by a staff member to prepare for my visit with Dr. Roth within a few minutes. Shortly after, I went into the examining room where Dr. Roth greeted me in a warm and friendly way. Dr. Roth updated me on my condition and was open to questions I might have. I was treated in a most professional and kind manner. My follow up appointment was easy to make. I felt well taken care of and recommend Dr. Daniel Roth to anyone in need of a Retinal Specialist.

Dr. Roth is very patient and kind. It is very clear he is totally excellent at what he does, and he has a nice warm manner. I highly recommend him! His entire staff is friendly and welcoming also.

As usual, my visit to Dr. Roth was excellent. He answered all of my questions and discussed my recent OCT scan. I must make special note to two of the technicians in the office. Both Dawn and Nancy are excellent. This visit Nancy numbed my eye, Dawn thoroughly rinsed my eye after my injection. Both the numbing and rinsing (in my opinion) are salient in the injection procedure. Both Dawn and Nancy are outstanding and make my visit to Dr. Roth an easier experience. Jack Kessler
