Dr. Lee grew up in Southern California and went to college at University of California Santa Barbara. He then went to medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He was interested in possibly going overseas as a missionary, thus he finished a family medicine residency at IMAGE Family Practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

His interest in obstetrics came alive during that time and he subsequently completed a surgical obstetrics fellowship at University Texas Medical Branch-Austin. He and his wife then moved down to Harlingen as he joined on faculty at Valley Baptist Family Practice. During those three years of practice in Harlingen he and his wife fell in love with the Rio Grande Valley. However, he realized in order to be passionate about his work for the rest of his life, he would have to do an ObGyn residency. Graciously, his wife and two children went back and finished another four years of training!

Dr. Lee%u2019s interests at work include providing a place for women to …know that they will be heard and cared for with excellence. His interests include full range obstetric care, minimally invasive gynecology surgery, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Outside of work, he enjoys the beach, his church, and being with his wife and two children.

I'm so thankful that Dr. Daniel Lee is here in the valley. He has greatly changed my life for the better. He is well educated, polite, caring, and very helpful in dealing with women's issues. I hope he staying here for a long time. God bless you Dr. Lee

I gave birth to my first child with a different Dr which both my husband and I feel was a traumatic experience...regarding everything that occurred. We made the choice to look for a new dr and found Dr.Lee he truly is a great Dr.

I went to the valley care clinic for an annual well-woman exam (which was supposed to be covered by my insurance according to the staff) which was done by the nurse-midwife. Be very careful before you go here and call your insurance beforehand. I am now stuck with a $630.00 bill.

Dr. Lee is an amazing doctor! I've had two children, the first with an other OBGYN and the most recent with Dr. Lee, and my experiences were night and day. It would be awesome if all doctors were as caring and informed as Dr. Lee. He really is an asset to the women in the Valley.

This is my first pregnancy and not knowing what to expect or what is next, Dr Lee has been there to help me and my husband. I feel very comfortable and glad I was referred. The staff is amazing too!

I switched to doctor Lee during my 3rd trimester with the hopes that I would be able to have the birth experience I hoped for. Dr. Lee met all of my expectations and was 100% supportive of my non medicated natural birth. After giving birth Dr. Lee called my room several hours later to check on how I was feeling and later stopped by to see how myself and baby were doing. Dr. Lee is very attentive, caring, and takes his time with his patients.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my pregnancy was having Dr. Lee as my OB. The care he provided me went beyond any expectation I could have had of any other physician. His staff was always welcoming and warm, & they made my husband & me feel comfortable at every visit. During the actual appointment, Dr. Lee took his time with us, listened to my/our concerns, answered questions, &, of course, made us feel at ease with his friendliness. He is someone that we trusted from our initial consultation, & we feel very fortunate to have found him in the RGV. Truly there is a need for more physicians like Dr. Lee. I would also like to add that Dr. Lee was not only understanding of my needs, but also respected my birth plan. He supported our choice of a holistic birth experience--something that most OB's in this area do not support. Overall, Dr. Lee exceeded all of our expectations!

Although I think Dr. Lee is very nice, his staff did not give off the same impression.

Very inviting office friendly staff, consultation was nicely done. Considering he had other patients I didn't feel like he was rushed he took plenty of time with me and the experience was overall comforting. Dr Lee is the second Dr I have seen for this pregnancy and I plan on staying with him.
