Thank God for Doctor Donato and his staff. Comforting, informative and he is very knowledgeable. Answered my questions. I knew what would occur from beginning to end. He is great and I will continue to see him every six months for the next five years.

Dr. Donato is a wonderful doctor. He took the time to explain everything to me and after my surgery came to see me in the hospital every single day. I would recommend him!

I was recently referred to Dr. Donato with an endometrial cancer diagnosis which required surgery for a complete hysterectomy. My husband and I could not feel more blessed by the treatment I received, both medically and personally from Dr. Donato and his staff. From the moment we met him, Dr. Donato was warm, compassionate, thorough, professional and gracious. His staff reflected these same qualities. 2012 I had the robotic surgery to remove my uterus, and cervix by Dr Daniel Donato. Soon as I started to wake up from the recovery room from the surgery. The nurse started asking me about going home later that day? I had 5 cuts on my stomach from Dr Donato, I told her no !! at that time I lived on the 3rd floor apt with no elevator. I could hear her talking on the phone with Dr Donato, telling him I refused to go home that night after having a major robotic surgery with 5 small cuts on my stomach area. She asked me again, I had to tell her no again, and again. I couldn’t believe after waking up from surgery like this that I would be arguing with a nurse due to the doctor putting pressure on her to try to convince me to go home. Later that night in the hospital my heart monitor went off because it was beating low, due to me being a runner is what the over night nurse told me. Also he told me my recovery would be 4 weeks. Wrong it took 7 weeks to heal completely for me to… deliver mail for the post office. I’m thankful for the prep nurses before my surgery that day, warned me to not go home after surgery.

I wish there was a zero stars choice. He is a narcissist, impersonal, inconsiderate and insensitive, seemingly only interested in his reputation and rich life style which he did boast about. He gave me rough treatment physically during the preliminary exam, and snarky, smirking responses to my questions. He made one follow-up call, which felt very perfunctory, to verify that I had made an appointment for chemotherapy. The physician he referred me to is a personal friend as evidenced by a phone conversation between them while I present. He postponed my surgery for nearly a month so he could vacation in Italy (I was told this afterwards). If he was even vaguely concerned about his patient's health, an honorable man would have made arrangements for another physician to perform the needed surgery while he was unavailable. He treated me as an annoying object, not as a living being.

I was sent to Dr. Donato for removal of a large uterine fibroid. He refused to take it out because I had a heart attack at one time. My cardiologist cleared me for surgery, and when I brought him the paper, he crumpled it up and threw it on the counter. He denied that the fibroid was causing incontinence or bleeding, and treated me like he was offended that I was even in the room because I was overweight and did not have cancer. I ended up going to another doctor, who did a painful uterine artery ablation, which shrunk the fibroid, but then I lost my job and my insurance. By the time I had insurance again, the fibroid was the size of a bowling ball and was sitting on my bladder, and caused a DVT in my groin. I had to have an abdominal hysterectomy, which had many complications including kidney failure, aspiration pneumonia, and two additional surgeries. I was on a wound vacuum for 6 months. Thanks, Dr. Donato. If you had just taken it out in the first place my family and I… would not have had to go through all of that.

I had a fast, efficient and pain free robotic surgery performed by Dr. D. I expected the worst after watching youtube videos but it was totally positive! While I am sorry that I had to have the surgery, I am glad that I had im do it! 4 days post-op and feeling almost normal.
