Dr. Daniel William Helzer, MD

4/17/2023, I am still grateful to Dr. Helzer, whose re-evaluation of my knee injury which was not a contusion but a tibia plateau, and his subsequent treatment in providing pain meds, a room with a bed instead of the hallway, decent patient treatment instead of the rude violation of my patient rights and prevented further damage to my fractured knee due to improper care by a different ER doctor. I spent 3 days in St Joe's, 5 weeks in a nursing rehab facility with the no weight bearing injury and a wheel chair. They had a great staff though. Then 2 years learning to walk and drive with a lot of healing but still having problems. If Dr.Helzer had not arrived at work at SJMC when he did, I fear my knee would suffered much more damage. His professional knowledge and compassion plus apologies for the treatment I had endured prior to his arrival also saved St Joe's and the other doctor from a lawsuit. Thanks Dr. Helzer, for being a good doctor.

he asked me a decision to get discharged or get a CT I never had a doctor ask me that my regular doctor did not order a Ct at all the pain worsen so my mom brought me to the ER waited for a few hours and the doctor was nice and helpful I'm only 15 years old and found out what's wrong with me my regular doctor didn't care at all its to late I hurts real bad I have to travel to Seattle children's hospital to see a doctor still waiting for a lot of months I hurt so bad still waiting because of the virus.
