Dr. Hirselj was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated
Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from
Washington University in Saint Louis in 1997. After completing his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Hirselj completed his internship and residency training in Urologic Surgery at Saint Louis University Hospital. Dr. Hirselj recently completed his two-year fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at Nationwide Children%u2019s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Hirselj is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Urological Association, the Society of Pediatric Urology, the Society of Fetal Urology, and the Oregon Medical Association.

His special interests include laparoscopy and minimally
invasive surgery, hypospadias, vesicoureteral reflux, obstructive uropathy, prenatal hydronephrosis, neurogenic bladder and disorders of sexual differentiation. We were referred to Dr Hirselj 10 years ago to monitor some concerns when our son was first born. We ended up with a separate concern and needed another referral. I hands down would not go anywhere else. Dr Hirselj is kind, straight to the point and extremely patient with all our questions.

Dr. Hirselj is really kind and patient with kiddos! He has a fun energy about him that both my boys respond well to. We were able to get an appointment in just a few days and the staff was very friendly and helpful. He takes time to educate parents and provide solutions, but is very low pressure. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hirselj was very kind, understanding, attentive, and patient with our very upset 2 year old. He gave him space and time to feel comfortable with the check down there and was very nice with us as parents and assured us we were doing a good job. He seemed very knowledgeable and I would certainly take my son to see him again. 10/10 would recommend him to others.

Our 15 year old son needed to see a urologist and our pediatrician of 15 plus years referred us to Dr. Hirselj. He was such a kind professional doctor and explained everything so my son understood. My son even complimented on how much he liked Dr. H which is a lot coming from a 15 year old who has to see a specialist for something uncomfortable. He is a great doctor with amazing bedside manner and very knowledgeable. I would absolutely refer my family and friends to him.
