STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS EMBARRASSING EXCUSE OF A MEDICAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!!!!! If this place could get zero stars, the absolutely deserve it. This is the MOST unprofessional and ill equipped health services establishment i have ever been too. Every staff member that i spoke to talked down to me. They were sarcastic and completely uncaring at every turn. When i first arrived at the office i was given a walk through on how to use the at home sleep study that was suggested by my primary care physician. They walked me through the steps on how the machine functions and what to do to make sure the test ran smoothly. When i got home the written instructions contradicted what i was told by the person i worked with at the sleep center. i figured that as long as i followed the instructions everything was going to be okay. BOY WAS I WRONG. (more on this later). I went back the next day to return the machine and wait 40 MINUTES for any receptionist to come to the front desk. There… was another gentleman in the waiting area as well and we laughed together about how unprofessional it was that no one even acknowledged our presence in the building. Eventually someone came to the counter wreaking of cigarette smoke and took the machine. They told me that i couldve just left the machine on the counter. However they had made me sign something saying if i didnt bring the machine back that i would be charge $1600 to replace it. Im not going to risk leaving something like that on the counter. They promptly took the machine without giving me any receipt that i had returned it didnt even offer me any information on when i should expect the results. A few days went by and i received a call from my insurance company saying that my next sleep study had been scheduled. I was clearly very confused and told the representative at my insurance company that i had already completed the study. I called Sleep Medicine Center back and they told me there wasnt enough information on the machine to make a determination and that i would need to do the test again AND PAY AGAIN. They rendered absolutely no product, had terrible customer service and wanted EVEN MORE MONEY FROM ME. Refused to do anything to make it right and instead claimed that i was trying to goat her into something rather than addressing my concerns in any way or even just showing an ounce of respect. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. suggesting that my primary no longer refers people to this office. and speaking with my bank about what i can do about getting my money back that they took from me for no reason. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS EMBARRASSING EXCUSE OF A MEDICAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

My primary care doctor ordered the sleep study and I didn't see the doctor until my primary requested a consultation. I saw the doctor at the same place I had the sleep study and he was EXCELLENT. Explained everything to me. I'm doing great!

My daughter was referred to Dr. Rifkin after she saw another doctor who tried to help but failed. She could not fall asleep and was missing school 3-4 days per week. Dr. Rifkin accurately diagnosed her with a syndrome he fixed within 2 weeks. She is now going to school every day...ON TIME...and I'm so grateful. He is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. I noticed that he was named one of the best doctors in Buffalo in Buffalo Spree. I can't imagine where these negative comments come from, but probably people who didn't see Dr. Rifkin or did not follow his directions.

Despite a case of serious insomnia, the doctor was never seen. Son asked to see physician and was refused by staff. It was a thinly veiled attempt to sell CPAP machines. Staff didn't have the ability or skill to treat son and refused to set up appointment with physician. Also tried to sell him CPAP that they knew insurance would refuse to pay for and then "upgrade" him to another insurance would cover. After 4 weeks and 2 sleep tests, they still had not treated insomnia. Son had not had more than 30 minutes of sleep a night in 8 weeks. Staff didn't seem to care. Forced to go back to primary physician and get alternate treatment options - which did work. Staff is uncaring and controlling and just a sales machine. No real concern for patient- just sell a CPAP.

I received the most amazing and compassionate care from Dr. Rifkin. I would recommend him to anyone! I guess you shouldn't be late!!

I've been a patient for over a year. I'm still unable to sleep more than a couple hours. I was late for an appointment, called ahead, I arrived 30 seconds after the "grace period". They said the doctor had other patients to see. The waiting room was empty, and I was the final patient that day. I was given an appointment two months later, Unacceptable!!

My son and husband have been to this doctor many times- and never met him. You will see a sleep technician and not a doctor. They were no help to my son, trying to sell him an expensive c-pap machine that did not fix his problem. They did 2 sleep studies and they knew it wouldn't work but pressured him to buy any way. They didn't answer his treatment questions and he still is faced with horrible insomnia. He is desperate for sleep after 3 months of not sleeping and they don't seem to care. Just want to sell him a machine the insurance won't cover. They also tell patients that they are busy and put them off for weeks. But there are no patients in the center when you arrive and the technicians are not busy. So why the delay when they know you are not sleeping?

We never expected to have to work with this doctor but he was amazing in the work he did for my son. What a blessing to our family and our community.
