Dr. Daniel Keenan, MD

Dr. Keenan is a great doctor. He will listen to you and will take what you say seriously. Take a list of what you want to talk about, this will always help at any doctor’s office. Dr. Keenan likes to practice preventative medicine. He wants to try to keep undesirable illnesses from occurring. He is thorough and requires his patients to follow through with labs, tests and other preventative maintenance needed that are ordered. He will not Candy Coat anything and is straight forward. In other words, he will not beat around the bush. If you don’t like it when a doctor is straight forward, then he is not your doctor. He has many patients that are in the medical field of some degree. And their words are the same as mine. He requires lots of Labs/ Blood and requires you to do your due diligence in following up with orders. In other words, if you don’t care about your health then why should ANY doctor care. Be involved and know what’s going on with your medical conditions. If there is a… medical condition you have, he is not well versed in, he has no hesitation about sending you to a specialist. I have been a patient of his for 10 years and have no desire to change.

Rude, condescending , andlacking compassion

This doctor forgets nothing. He doesn't guess so be prepared for tests. If he doesn't know, he will send you to someone else. I've never felt rushed, but if you are looking for sugar coated fairy tales, go elsewhere. He is very caring and concerned, but he's not from the South, so he can be very direct! Check with some of the local nurses or lab staff and they will confirm this. Many of them are also his patients.

Does not follow up with appropriate care. Potential diabetes never checked on or mentioned again after having me monitor blood sugar! Extremely high blood pressure as noted by other health care professionals (170/90) not addressed even with family history of stroke! Pushes for unnecessary tests but does not address potentially dangerous obvious issues! Misdiagnosed large hernia; even I knew what was wrong!

I am very lucky to have found Dr. Keenan. He is a very good doctor who shows compansion and is very thorough. My daughter also sees him and she absolutely loves him. He makes you feel like you are headed in the right direction when you leave his office. The office staff are wonderful. They care and they are very understanding. They make you feel like family.

Caring, listens. Very efficient, doesn't mess around guessing. This man remembers everything, runs tests and diagnoses from knowlege not just guesses. If he doesn't know something he will TELL you and send you to someone who does.Absolutely Fantastic doctor with a great staff.

I would highley recommend this doctor. I've been seeing him for 15+ years and have never had a problem. His office staff is top notch and always return calls in a timley manner. He always spends time with you evaluating how you are and whats going on in your life and how he can help you. A very caring and excellant doctor.
