Too bad I could not give a negative star. I needed a lymph node biopsy in the inguinal area. I am on a blood thinner, so I had to stop the medication for 3 days before the procedure. That means I was risking a stroke to do this procedure. The doctor who I expected to do the procedure was not available. Dr. Machleder was dumped on me without any notice or input from me. This was at St. Francis hospital. What was I supposed to do? Walk out? Next time that is exactly what I would do. Then I figured it is only a needle biopsy, which is relatively simple. First problem. He did not know which lymph node was to be biopsied. He had to call my urologist. He was totally uninformed and unprepared. I am a dentist. I have worked on patients for 45 years. I can tell how doctors navigate around a patient. I watched how he hovered over me. I watched how he looked back and forth at his instruments. I could tell he was unsure of himself. I thought of getting off the table. … Again, it was only a needle biopsy, so I stayed. He punctured me 4 time for 4 samples. I could tell how the nurses and he communicated and one nurse was telling him what to do. Was this the first time he did this procedure? End result. I was in tremendous pain post -op. I asked for a "painkiller." He refused to give it. I had to get it myself. I also had to cancel work the next day since I could not move without pain. A lost day of income. The outcome. He missed the lymph node on all 4 shots. I could not get any reading. A total waste of time by a totally incompetent doctor.
