Dr. Megna has been a family doctor for maybe forty years. He is no stranger to the rain regarding his practice and is extremely the best. Just like all the other reviews on here, the staff has to go. I'm tired of always acting polite and being decent to people and then come to this office and have to put up with their arrogance and attitude. He really should put a stop to this now. You cannot even ask a simple question on the phone anymore, and Jeanine gets to be a little too much. She never wants to be bothered when we have problems with authorizations with insurance. Also you cannot talk to this staff about anything without being rushed and brushed off
This office is a total SCAM!!! They send you a letter that it's medically necessary for an appointment, then when making it they tell you, you have a $100.00 balance for a no show appt back from 2013, which NEVER happened, then they say they sent me a registered letter stating that, but of course can not show me any proof of that. Great doctors office that turns a patient away that they sent a letter to for a follow-up. Stay away, the office staff sucks!!
Who is giving 4 stars to this man? My father went to him for years for hemochromatosis and he should have been given regular ultrasounds. Megna never told him that. Too busy I guess. Dad began having severe pains and went to see his general practitioner. The GP told him to get an ultrasound. Sent the results to Megna who told him that the spots on his liver, "were probably scar tissue." It was stage four cancer. This is after my sister had to haunt his staff to get the results. Dad's gone and he's still practicing. Gastro Mafia or not, these doctor's took an oath. Instead they double book, and cash the insurance checks to support their lifestyles. My family has a headstone and a grave that we visit, so we can ask, "Why? Why did this happen?" My son still cries in his sleep and my daughter consistently asks why Grandpa had to go to Heaven? Take my advice, go to Manhattan. Dad lived in the neighborhood, could have walked to the ultrasounds. Now he's gone.....
I have been the doctor's patient for about 39 years since a child going to a pediatrician . I went straight to him and I guess he was starting out. There are no words to describe this dr. He is a caring wonderful compassionate great doctor. He has helped me through all my illnesses guiding me in the right direction if he could not take care of it. He is always there for me when I need him. If I have to see a different doctor I always check back with him to make sure the medication is correct and if the doctor is right and I go to him. I trust him with my life since I was brought to him as a child I do not know how I would have gotten through my illnesses without it No matter how late he works if I have a problem he calls back He has called me at 1:00 in the morning to see what my problem was regarding my health. No matter what he there. He has never made a wrong diagnosis.. I TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE I recommend him highly
