Excellent physician and a nice person too !!!

He was complete in his evaluation and helpful at correcting my problem. I preferred talking to him rather than other office staff.

Dances around questions, has not been much help to me, diagnoses with one thing and almost a year later changes his mind. Does not answer calls or emails.

Dr. Mishkin found several polyps missed by other physicians. He was very patient and explained everything well.

Pros: Dr Mishkin accurately diagnosed my original problem,and prescribed an effective treatment, so I would say that he is a good/knowledgable doctor. He's pretty pro-actiave and will give a lot of diagnostics, if needed. His follow up (in the form of phone calls by his nurse) are decent, and he did respond to questions over the phone pretty readily.Cons: his communication skills leave a bit to be desired overall. I saw him for 2 years before he finally told me in a direct manner that I have IBS (I had already figured that much out for myself). I also asked a lot of questons that neevr really got answered. He seems to beat around the bush on certain topics. I'd rather have a doc tell me flat out that they don't know than get a wishy-washy answer (or no answer). Funny thing is this was mre apparent when I was face-to-face with him (rather than on the phone). I also never got the feeling that he truly cared about me, and he alwyas seemed rushed to some extent. In short, I felt like a… number rather than a patient.

Dr. Mishkin was the first doctor to diagnose my stomach condition after five years. He was very kind and encouraging that he would find my problem, and fix it. He was great with keeping in contact with me, and easing my nerves about the procedures he had planned for me. I could not have asked for a more reliable and helpful doctor.
