Dr. Daniel Robert Pilosov

I saw Dr. Pilosov after my previous PCP left MHHC and he was the only doctor. At my appointment, he questioned why I requested a female chaperone (not his business!) and was dismissive of my concerns about my year-long stalled weight loss despite my best efforts and said that I simply need to cut more calories despite me saying that I'm already doing so (I'm a scientist in-training, had extensive nutritional counseling, reversed my pre-diabetes and lost 10% of my body weight in the year prior, so I'm not clueless on weight loss). Also made a rude comment about me "carrying 60 pounds of extra weight" and thus I "can't exercise like everyone else" when I expressed concern about a knee injury after exercising. This on top of him not reviewing my labs in a timely manner and his staff insisting on an in-person f/u for the results during a pandemic when a phone call would suffice (which every doctor I've had in the past would do) has led me to leave MHHC after 3 years and seek better care… elsewhere

Due to Covid-19 I was forced to see a provider at a federally qualified health center and had the misfortune of encountering Pilosov. He mocked my use of supplements to boost my immunity and said getting coronavirus was inevitable. Pilosov also implied that I would get cancer due to my race. There was also a weird man in the room with him whose presence was never explained. I rather pay the fees at CityMD until I'm fully insured once again. What a creep!

Very thorough medical check-up, he asked a whole battery of questions to get a full picture of why I was there. Very concerned about my health, even followed-up with a phone call.
