My eyesight is worse than when I had the cataract before I get glasses. Though it does seem I'll be able to at least correct my vision with two pairs of glasses now. I'm still not sure what happened. I had a total of 10 minutes with this doctor before the surgery, and that's all I've really had with him. An assistant took off my bandages, noted I wasn't seeing right, and then they left. I had questions about my medication. I never got to ask. They didn't even get my prescription in right when they submitted it to the pharmacy, so I also wasn't able to take them properly. To make matters worse, I can't seem to get a hold of their office by phone or email at all. It's been a month and zero response. I honestly was hesitant to post anything about this, because I thought I could talk to my surgeon about this. Since I can't, I guess warning others is all I get. I will do whatever it takes not to have him do my other eye.
He is a knowledgeable man but has a terrible bedside manner. We always have to wait more than an hour and sometimes more than 2 hours. Dr Osborne spends a few minutes at most with you. We had several questions following a surgical procedure and he litterally answered only one question as he walked out the door. We had to ask his assistant our questions and wait yet again for her to get the answers.
I am certain that Dr. Osborn is very knowledgable and extremely competent. However, and this is after several appointments with him, I always come away feeling as though I had just visited an 'eye mill'. His bedside manner is nonexistent, he often is accompanied by an intern and spends a great deal of time discussing my exam with them, and no time at all discussing nor explaining it with me. The rest of the staff is helpful and very courteous.
