He treated me for chronic migraines and chronic back pain. Over the course of a couple of years I missed three appointments due to migraines. A chronic migraine sufferers misses a lot of life. Two of which I called and cancelled. He dropped me. He said he drops every patient that misses three appts. No he doesn't care about the individual. He cares about himself only

When I checked Avera my chart he had documented an exam and test he performed on me however the provider did not even touch me. reported to the facility however they chose to not do anything about it. he also documented he spent 30 minutes with me when in reality he spent only a few minutes with me.

Suggested medications that I have already tried, didn't act like he was even listening to me. I begged him to help me with my muscle spasms and chronic pain (10 yrs and still going strong) so I could function as a mom/wife and improve my quality of life, which is almost non-existent. Pretty much told me there was nothing he could do for me, then prescribed me a muscle relaxer called tizanidine. I took one dose and slept for over 16 hours and woke up with a pounding headache and extreme nausea. I did not want to be knocked out, nor be a guinea pig. When he asked what had worked for me in the past for muscle spasms and I told him "soma" he told me it was a sleeping pill. Funny, I could function on it and besides having a little knowledge of medication classes from when I worked as a CPhT (when I was still able to work because I had a doctor that treated my pain/spasms) I also checked online and in a PDR where it was listed as a MUSCLE RELAXANT. My appt was on Monday, when I finally woke… up on Tuesday I called his office and told his nurse what happened. She said he was already out of the office and she would get back to me the next day. Next day she says he doesn't think any opiates would be helpful. I tell her I NEVER nor did I now want opiates. I wanted soma. Doctor is also out of the office that afternoon. Nurse calls me Thursday and essentially says the doctor is very sorry, but he will not be able to help me. A good doctor would not just leave a patient in pain without even a referral to someone else who might be able to. How arrogant.
