Without a doubt, this is the best and most compassionate Physician I've ever met. Forget best Endocrinologist only, the best physician of any type. She double or triple books to make sure her patients that need to be seen can be, she sacrifices her lunch break to see patients, when her staff is overly busy with biopsies or such, she will call the patient herself from the lobby and get their vital signs. She has an excellent demeanor and bedside manner. She LISTENS to the patient. She doesn't tell you what your doing wrong or how badly you're doing. For a diabetic condition, she asked about what my life style is like, what do I do, and she will even ask what I'm WILLING to do. As a diabetic, we all know that there are some things we cheat on, some things we flat-out lie about, or refuse to do. She understands it won't help me gain control if she asks me to do things I won't end up doing anyway. She'll ask if I'm willing to try "XYZ" after telling her what I am willing… to do in order to verify how open minded I am to new ideas. If I'm not willing, she will accept that, inform me what type of control I can expect so as to keep my expectations realistic, and accepts it with a smile and openly. She has so many patients though. That's the downside. From my understanding, she is so well liked that no patient is willing to leave her service. I spoke to some that have come from Orange county all the way to Falls Church to see her. Because of this, though, I was warned by some of her patients to expect her to be booked 3 months in advance. They said, though, that she's worth that inconvenience. That being said, if I have a concern and she feels it needs attention before she has an opening, she will double book herself and give up her lunch break to fit me in. Her staff is great, but equally over-worked due to her overwhelming patient load. You'll have to be patient, they all are doing the best they can. This may be a downside to you, but for me she's worth it.
