At the young age of 10, Dr. Winkler had the unfortunate privilege of watching her sick brother undergo many medical treatments at Children’s Hospital of San Diego. The entire experience had a significant impact on Dr. Winkler and it was the defining moment that she knew she wanted to become a doctor in order to help people. With a focus on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices, Dr. Winkler takes the time to educate her patients and provide them with the appropriate resources. She believes that everyone needs balance and aims to help her families find their ideal life balance. Her patients describe Dr. Winkler as easy going, understanding, and supportive. She takes the team approach with every patient. As she says it best, “Kids are the most valuable thing in your family. It is a huge responsibility that parents allow me to be a part of their lives and I find great joy in working with them.” A graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. Winkler returned to her …native San Diego to complete her residency at University of California, San Diego. She has been practicing since 1999 and brings a trained and trusted approach to her patients. Dr. Winkler is very active during her time away from the office and participates in triathlons, IRONMAN competition, and ultra-distance triathlons. One of her biggest accomplishments was completing the double IRONMAN which included a total of 281.2 miles.

As always Dr. Winkler and her staff are very professional and courteous. They always have time to fit my children into her schedule and take the time to speak to not only me but my children during office visits. Recently we moved from the OC area to two hours away. As long as we are able to make the drive to go see her for office visits we will. I have never seen a pediatrician and her staff that care as much as she does.

Dr Winkler and her staff are the best, they are kind and courteous as well as very professional!! They always take us in when needed. After moving two hours away from the OC area I still bring my children to see her. I would be hard pressed to be able to find a pediatrician that will take the time to not only speak to me but also speak and acknowledge my children.

Dr. Winkler saw Rockford for his first week follow up. She answered my question and took time to follow up on details we had discussed in the hospital.

I love Dr. Winkler and her staff! My son was in for his 1 year check-up. He received a few vaccinations & a flu shot. Every step of the appt was fast and didn't feel rushed. Dr. Winkler always seems genuinely interested in my son and his development. I highly recommend this office.

Came in for walk in hour. Was seen quickly and the Dr was able to assess the issue right away and prescribe medication, also explaining the cause of the issue. All while keeping the baby entertained by her equipment

Always a great place to come. Staff are always great to our kids and Dr Winkler is very thorough and helpful.

Came back since our son still had the chills and fever after 5 days of taking the prescribed antibiotics. We were accommodated right away. We're also able to set up an appt for our younger daughter because she has gotten sick too. The staff and Dr. Winkler have always been nice and friendly.

We went in for our 3 day check up for our newborn and had to reschedule twice. The second time was at the last minute due to Morgan's mother having some complications after giving birth and her physician asked us to come in. I was able to reschedule and made our appointment that friday morning. Dr Winkler even asked how she was doing because she heard we had to cancel the day before. We bring our 20 mo old to see Dr. Winkler and had no reservations bringing Morgan in as well.
