Dr. Darel Barnett, MD

Staff doesn't care at all. Very bad office visit. After one hour wait someone came in and said there was a crisis in the office. She didn't apologize and I missed a 3:30 apt. When the NP came in she didn't apologize for my time, she said it's not as though I haven't been working hard all day and had to spend extra time with a patient. My time is important and I feel sure I can find a more compassionate office staff! Not waiting 90 minutes for a NP ever again! Called BHEast to complain.

I have been dealing with both neck and back issues for over seven years. I've managed to live a great life free from narcos, until recently when I hit my head on a steal pole in a store and started having a lot of upper neck and shoulder issues. After denying surgery because I am the only financially provider for my home, I was referred to Dr. Barnett's office. On the 1st visit I tested positive for THC. Which I had been using to manage my pain. I told my doctor prior to. When they found out I tested positive, instead of having a real conversation about it, they rejected me. I said why would only want to treat me with invasive procedures, when history shows I have been successful without them? I also asked the NP, why she was treating me as if marijuana is not legal in almost 30 states. She called it a narcotic. I laughed and said, but Ma'am statistics show it is white people, who are abusing and over dosing on Opoids. Why treat me, a person who doesn't have a history of… abusing them, let alone using them as if I was a drug addicted woman? She said, I was making her uncomfortable. I said, wow imagine how I felt. Not one black worker or patient was in this office.

I have had mixed dealings with this office. They can be extremely difficult to contact for information, etc. I leave messages and they are not returned or if they are it can be days or even weeks before I receive a call back.

This office is a joke, Dr Barnett is great but the front staff are horrible. They are rude and very unhelpful. This office worries too much about gossiping about the office manager and calling her names than doing their job. Once visit with my mother and I was done!

Hard to get appointment when needed. Staff does not return calls.

Dr. Barnett is extremely kind, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Barnett never gives up. He continually strives to manage my pain and maximize my quality of life.

Dr. Barnett is a wonderful, kind and caring doctor. I never feel rushed when he is the room with me, I feel I always have his full attention during my appointment. The epidurals he has given me have been very successful.

Absolutely wonderful
