The dr never came to see my baby when we were in the office. We waited forever and he refused. The nurse and genetic counselor took a history and ordered labs. When the results came in they just mailed them to my house for us to figure out. They never bothered to call like they said they would. The lab work said they need more blood work and the dr never called to tell us or give us a script to have it drawn.

Brought our 1 year old to Goryeb in 2018/2019 they claimed tests were inconclusive. Hackensack found FSHD muscular dystrophy. How could a geneticist not test for that? Extremely gross negligence throughout all of Goryeb. They only care about sticking to 10 minute appointments to see as many patients as possible.

The dr makes his receptionist be his gatekeeper, so he doesn’t waste his time on people not already diagnosed with ehlers danlos. How does that help people seeking a diagnosis? His receptionist said that no matter what state you are in, you must see a cardiologist first to rule out ehlers danlos heart incarnation and see a rheumatologist to rule out specific autoimmune issues and send over those medical records. Otherwise someone might waste his time. She told me, a patient walking in thinking they might have EDS and then not having it would be a horrible waste of his time. I’d love to trade places and have that be one of my biggest problems. I’m a caregiver to my mother who is recovering from cancer, I’m on disability with multiple health issues that limit my ability to just live a bearable life, and no other family to help. I simply cannot do what he requires. And I explained I have regular visits with my cardiologist and rheumatologist. It doesn’t matter. I was told I would… have to schedule special appointments and say check me for ehlers danlos. Even though clearly, after being their patient for years, they would have told me if I had concerning irregularities like that. As if any dr would examine you, see you have EDS but not tell you because you didn’t specifically ask...New patients with possible EDS looking for a dr: I would say don’t waste YOUR time on someone who doesn’t have respect for you or your time.
