Dr. Darlene Mcnulty

The office is nice, but appointments with Dr. McNulty consist of sitting in a chair/couch 20 feet away from her while she sits at her desk and types on her computer. Very rarely does she look you in the eye at all. She was knowledgeable about my medication but that's about all I can say.

Appointments take weeks. Long office waits. Sessions last only about 15 minutes, at most. No discussions outside of meds. Takes bodily samples without informing why and says not to pay those bills. Takes about a week or more to respond to refill requests. Avoid her at all costs. Seek help elsewhere!

I actually like her. She's helped me. She's listened to me. She's dosed medicines. She looks at me. I don't feel like a machine as others felt?! I really don't understand the comment about her dressing. She dresses on trend; good for her if that makes her comfortable - would her dressing like a school marm make her a better person to be a psychiatrist? This might be a little cultural. She is from up North and there's a bit of a northern look or edge etc and if you're not comfortable with that then she's not the doctor for you. If you're okay with that then she's a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. Finally she's not a talk therapist. I go to a psychologist to talk out my issues and come up with a plan. Dr. McNulty will talk to you and ask questions before dispensing meds - as she should - but she's not there, as I see it - to be a talk therapist.

I went to Dr. McNulty for some serious issues I was having. Her office staff was so rude to me that I left before even seeing the damage she could do to me. I'm really happy that I didn't proceed at this terrible practice. She also dresses rather unprofessionally as I could see just from her calling other patients that weren't me into the rating room. She smelled of some sort of rank perfume. I hate to pre-judge people, but she honestly looked like some sort of well... I'd rather not say.. rather than a doctor LOL I mean, she really needs to work on her professionalism as well as her pitiful office staff. Not to mention the people in the office were so incredibly rude it was unbelievable. The office lady wasn't even sure if they could accept my insurance.. she was like, "oh like something like $141 or whatever" regarding what I may be required to pay. What an idiot. And it appears this doctor is an idiot too. So glad I dodged that bullet by actually giving them a piece of… my mind and walking out! Anyway - Long Story Short: Don't go to this doctor if you are having any type of mental health issue and actually need help. She is not a compassionate individual and just wants your money, like most other doctors. Peace.

Dr McNulty is a great doctor. She took her time to listen, and wasn't pressing as some psychiatrists can be. I felt at ease with her, and am glad I found her to follow my case.

I went to see Dr Mc Nulty for some serious issues I'm having and needed to talk to someone. Someone who could listen and help me. It took me a week to get an appointment, then she was almost an hour late for our appointment. She sat behind her desk and computer and asked me all the same questions they had me fill out on the paperwork. ...she never even looked at my paperwork! Anyway, she asked me a few questions then asked ME...the one who is suffering from a some mental issues...what I thought was wrong with me! How the heck do I know?! If i knew that, I wouldn't need her! So she prescribed me some meds and see said she would see me in a month to see how they were working. Oh..and if I needed to adjust the dose myself up or down it was fine. If i felt it wasn't working at all then call her. What?! Umm...isn't she supposed to help me figure all that out??! She hardly ever looked at me and didn't really give a crap about me. When I asked her if I was going to be able to actually… talk to her she said "no. I don't talk to patients I only prescribe medicine. You'll have to see someone else for that." I was floored! So..if you need a therapist to help you work through your problems and figure out a diagnosis, AVOID her! If you're looking for a pill pusher only..she's perfect.

Never choose this doc again...didn't introduce herself ...No personality or human contact..Just typed away with a sour face....asked questions..No warmth or bedside manner...Golly...typed on her computer and felt like a number... Was she a robot or something.? O stars from me...
