Dr. Darrell Gene Ragland, MD

Darrell Ragland is a highly professional physician that cares about his patients. He has always been able to diagnose accurately and get my health back on track. He is very tactful and polite when giving instructions, whether it’s about my health or the medications he is prescribing. I’ve used him as my PCP for many years and highly recommend him for anyone else’s health. Simply put, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Ragland left the room before I got my prescriptions. I asked that they be written because when they are faxed there is always a mistake. A nurse brought the scripts in but got ugly when I wanted to verify that I got all of them. I persisted and as usual, there were left out scripts and mistakes. This is highly unsatisfactory. I also had a couple of questions that I wanted to ask Dr. Ragland about the changes in the directions on the scripts but was told that he had "moved on..." I left a message regarding my questions and had two phone calls later each with a different answer. After Dr. Ragland leaves the room, the quality of the office visit goes downhill. It is also difficult that he has so many different nurses assisting him and making callbacks because this shows a lack of continuity of care. I don't like falling through the cracks. I do want to add that Sarah, RN has been a beacon of light. She has waited on me 3 of my last 4 visits and she is helpful and genuine. I am… always put at ease if I find out that I am dealing with her. Samantha is also very helpful. She handles my outside referrals well. But if she leaves a message for me to return her call and I do, someone else intercepts my call and doesn't answer my questions like I know she would. I was also told when I left the messages for Dr. Ragland that I could go to "the portal " if I wanted to ask anything else. When I asked how to access the portal, I was told they would tell me up front. I have two college degrees and can find out how to "access the portal " myself but for the average person, especially someone who is afraid to ask further questions, this office visit would have been very intimidating. The doctors and their staff are there to provide a service for their patients which they are well paid. Do not let your patients fall through the cracks! Thank you.

He has taken care of me since 1991, also my Mother, and other extended family members as well! We have always received the best care possible!! His compassion and caring far exceeds what is expected! His knowledge of all medical conditions, and their Treatments are unsurpassed!! I hope I will always be able to have him for my personal physician!
