Dr. Darren Scott Pittard, MD

Horribly rude, asked me to go else where at 8 months pregnant because my insurance wasnt paying enough......no joke he really asked me that, then said i can refuse you if you come in but would prefer you went somewhere else im barely getting paid to do your delivery.... It was extremely weird he would leave our appointments to check how much my insurance had paid for previous appointments then comment about it.....didnt know doctors were involved in the billing.

Dr Pittard was amazing and supportive during my high risk pregnancy with my son. He helped me with my maintaining good blood pressure without medication and helped work out a plan to avoid gestational diabetes. He was suppose to be out of town the day my son was born but happened to be in the hospital at a class during my labor and was able to deliver my son himself. Best doctor I have ever met. Best bedside manner. Respected all of my wishes. Highly recommended!

To say this doctor is a jerk wouldn't really even begin to cover it.

So after searching many doctors, I went with Dr. Pittard. The front desk staff is great at obgyn associates! Dr. Pittard's nurse is not... She is rude and overly direct, which comes off very poorly. She remained abrasive throughout the appt and continued her attitude during phone calls after the appt... Dr. Pittard was great at first! He answered all my questions, took plenty of time in doing so, and showed genuine interest in me as a new patient. Where my main issue lies is in the fact that he did extra testing without my consent because I disclosed my full medical history. I was extremely disappointed that I'm expected to share everything, and did so without hesitation, but Dr. Pittard does not hold himself to the same standard. I loved the experience with him and was willing to deal with his rude nurse to remain a patient of his.... That is, until I found out that he keeps secrets and tests for things without my consent or knowledge. I only found out by reviewing my appt log online… the next day.
