Dr. David Barry Burstein, MD

I injured my shoulder & was in a lot of pain. Dr Burstein stuck with me until he discovered the problem! He did not just jump right into surgery, as some may do, but he went through a complete diagnostic routine & because he listened to me, he discovered the problem. He has a good sense of humor, is caring and thorough. Also, he has a wonderful group of staff in his office. They are caring, professional & very helpful. Unfortunately, I’m just discovering now that Dr. Burstein also does hip replacement. I wish I had known this sooner!!

I called Dr. Burstein’s office from an urgent care center where I had just been diagnosed with a fractured metatarsal. He was recommended by the center. I was seen an hour later and his care and competence were evident in the first minute I was there. A surgeon, he is in no rush to get his patients to the OR if not necessary. I am impressed by him and others in his office - all very helpful and kind. He’s now in my contact list as a first consultation for orthopedic issues in the future. Dr. Burstein, thank you.

I limped into the office with a sore hip, thigh and knee. after xrays + exam I was diagnosed with hip bursitis. I had a cortisone injection in bursa of hip and all pain disappeared. am taking it easy right now but can't believe how great I feel.

I feel compelled to write a review for Dr. Burstein who surgically repaired my daughter's completely torn Achilles tendon. Literally a half hour before scheduled surgery, my daughter requested the use of an alternate surgical center. Dr. Burstein found another OR a block away! The surgery was performed an hour and a half later. Dr. Burstein took all the last-minute changes in stride, personally updated us on the results of the surgery, and assured us that all went well. If this was not enough, my daughter received numerous follow-up calls post surgery. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Burstein. Not only is he a fine surgeon, but he is a genuinely caring person, dedicated to the well-being of his patients. Without hesitation, I recommend Dr. Burstein to anyone who needs expert orthopedic care and would like it to be administered with a huge dose of compassion.

Excellent follow up, comforting prior to surgery, doesn't jump to surgery, at the same time doesn't require needless testing or more time in pain then necessary. Highly recommend

Dr. Burstein performed surgery on my knee, I have taken my children to him and recommended him to my wife for her knee. He is thorough, spends plenty of time with me when I've had the occassion to have an appointment and his staff is very pleasant.

Dr. B has been looking after me since I was 15 years old. He's seen me through two ACL reconstructions, a broken ankle, bone spurs, and bad sprains. He's honestly one of the nicest people you will ever meet and he genuinely cares about his patients. His bedside manner is more than excellent; he treats you like a total person, not just a joint to be repaired. His office staff are curteous and professional - and they care just as much as he does. They've even helped me out after hours when I've had emergencies. Best MD you'll ever see!

Doctor Burstein did my surgery on a fracture eight years ago. He did an outstanding job. He also did an artroscopy surgery of my knee in 2004. I would strongly recommed him as a surgeon.
