Dr. David Mitchell Bloome, MD

I went to Dr. Bloome for a painful bump on the bottom of my foot. After X-Rays and his personal examination he said it was caused by a neuroma and surgery was schedule and completed. Dr. Bloome performed the surgery from the top down. About a month after the surgery I was still in pain and the bump still existed and got larger. After doing an MRI with Contrast it was determined I had a tumor and additional surgery would be required on the bottom of my foot! How they could miss this from the start just baffles me. I got that surgery with a different Doctor and facility. They removed a large "giant cell tumor" from my foot. His decision to go from the top and not where the pain was emanating from and not to do a more thorough examination from the beginning seemed very rushed and flawed. He was not a good listener in my opinion. I highly recommend to "NOT" use Dr. Bloome.

Dr Bloome, in my opinion, is one of the best foot surgeons in Houston. He performed surgery on my toes 6 weeks ago and I'm very pleased with his work in the outcome. He is highly skilled, uses advanced techniques, demonstrates a high attention to detail, is very caring and communicative. He also performed two surgeries on my wife about 5 years ago and we were very pleased with his work then as well.

Dr. Bloome is The Best!!!

id not spend much time with Dr. Bloom so it’s hard to rate the experience. I can only guess he is wanting the result of my MRI before talking to me. It was strange, he looked at my foot and state “let me see about getting you an MRI” walks out of the room to never be seen again. I was then directed by the assistant to check out and go down stairs for the MRI. No statement of what to do or not do, how to manage the pain, nothing. The way he walked out I thought he would return. Seriously that is all he said after asking me what was going on.

Really like Dr. Bloome but his staff is not helpful at all. I drove 3 hours to my appt assures I would see the doctor & get prednisone injections. Waited 1 hour in waiting room, saw Dr. Bloome & then was told by his staff I had NOT been preached ukes for injections after repeatedly reaffirming that I was. Scheduled my injections for 3 days later after almost being crushed by an 18 wheeler on interstate. I really liked Dr. Bloome but his staff is not up to par nor is the X-ray department.

This doctor does not walk in integrity. He is very unethical. Instead of admitting that he does not know anything he lies and blames his patients for his errors. The oath that he took does not matter.

Dr Bloome is an outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeon. He really cares about his patients and he always takes a good care of my ankles. He definitely knows what he is doing with ankles. I highly recommend him if you have ankle problems.

I’am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Dr. Bloome explained Exactly what I could expect from the surgery, pain management and length of recovery.

Dr. Bloome performed ankle replacement surgery on my severely damaged and arthritic ankle. Prior to the surgery I was in pain with every step and was seriously considering fusion surgery. I was referred to Dr. Bloome who replaced my left ankle. I now walk pain-free and have a very active life style. I just successfully completed my one tear check-up.
