Calmed my fears and eased my anxiety.

Terrible. Don't know how he could keep his medical license.

I had 3 doctors refer me to a Rheumatologist for auto immune problems. I went to Dr. Blumenthal because his wait list was short. He started the visit pretty friendly. But he checked only one thing for 5 minutes and told me there was nothing wrong with me. It was all in my head. It was anxiety. He refused to do any testing, although 3 other doctors asked for Rheumatology work ups. He did not let me say or check the 8 other symptoms on my list and concluded the appointment. When I challenged him, he was arrogant, argumentative, condescending, rude, nasty! Oh, do check the progress note. He wrote he checked my other joints and everything was fine, but in fact he NEVER checked them. Not only I got no help from the visit, I felt more distressed and aggravated. This doctor is dishonest. Can't trust him. I thought it was just me going through experiences like this, until I saw the other patient comments on this board. Ivy league and fancy medical school education did not pan… out well. Lack of empathy and sympathy. Full of himself and judgement.

Like many other patients within 5 mins of meeting he tells me it’s all in my head and that it’s stress. Not evening running new blood work for the autoimmune disorder I have. Doesn’t track and continues to not provide proper updates on health. You schedule these appointments for them to last less than 10 minutes with no new answers. He doesn’t have much compassion nor empathy it’s just a job to him.

I have seen a lot in my medical history. I strongly recommend staying away from this person.... I cannot call him a doctor. A piece of paper that he went to school means nothing. He started off. Seeming pleasant. I am in treatment for life threatening issues for the past year... and he told me it was in my head in less than 5 minutes a. I’m not kidding. No assessment and obviously didn’t look at my labs!!!!! When I put my blood work in front of him ... he was speechless ... nothing to say. What could he say after his 5 minute assessment ... with zero exam... zero test... zero interest. I only went to him because my Brilliant -excellent doctor is retiring and I needed follow-up care to take over my treatment.. I truly think he has a Disturbing disorder. I don’t say that lightly. His rude... completely ignorant... nasty behavior was beyond unacceptable.... it was disgusting and weird. . It’s frightening he is able to practice. Stay away.

He had no interest in listening to me. Not the type of doctor I was looking for.

Very professional, caring physician. Was able to diagnose my condition while other physicians were not.

This guy is a poor example of a so called medical professional. The one and only appointment I attended at his office in 2007 was terrible. His unwarranted verbal abuse to me was beyond low and disgusting. His rude and hateful remarks, and sloppy examination which included no proper testing or further blood testing, promted me to contact the medical board. I would not recommend him to any one, and would never let him have anything to do with my health.
