After having seen numerous psychiatrists over the years and nearly ready to give up, I had heard about Dr. Brown through several people. I must say - I was blown away. He has a charming, casual style which is a refreshing departure from the norm. We also felt his insight and experience allowed him to be adept at "cutting to the core" in a very relatable way. We are now moving forward with much more confidence and some much needed peace of mind!! P.S. If you like the stiff, smug, hard to understand pill pushers....this is defintely NOT your man.

I just moved to the area and I finally found a doctor that took the time to get to know me and I left feeling good about the appointment.

Dr. Brown is a good guy, no beefs there. As a physician though, it seems odd when his patients know more about the mechanism of action of the drugs he prescribes than he does. He chats with you, but not really about clinical things. It's all small talk. He likes to golf and seems rather bored with being a psychiatrist. Never mean or harassing, always follows up and finds answers if he doesn't know. I would recommend him.

I can't believe this "doctor" is still practicing! He should have been sued several time for mal practice. He just feeds people addictive prescription drugs on a whim without getting to know the person or their problems at all. The mixture of different drugs along with the high dosage turns people into addicted lifeless robots. His practice is life threatening, he is uneducated, and a straight up crook.

He was nice enough, and didn't give me any kind of run-around when I told him about the medicine my obstetrician recommended for depression. However, when I went back for anxiety, he tried to put me on something else. I told him I was breastfeeding, and asked if it was safe. He said that it "probably isn't," and wrote me a prescription for something that "probably is," because it is "sometimes given to children." I filled my prescription, and noticed that the bottle had a sticker on it that specifically said "Do not take while breastfeeding." I looked it up. Apparently, the medication he was originally thinking of actually would have been okay, but this one was NOT. I don't expect my doctor to know everything about every type of medication, but I DO expect my doctor to look it up if he/she doesn't know for sure, especially when there's a chance that I could have unknowingly harmed my child.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ONE PERSON. Awful experience. He got my kid on so much ADHD medications then dropped my kid for not a reason. He wouldn't tell me what to do next knowing my kid would go through withdrawals. Very arrogant and rude. My kid was also diagnosed with major depression by 3 different people. But when we went and dropped us, he looked at my kid in the eyes yelling, "and you will k*ll yourself someday". If you are looking for a psychiatrist. This is not the one you want. Awful, awful psych. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Interesting Doctor. Started me on 1.5mg klonopin a day. next two visits i didn't take much of his time and he doubled the klonopin each time. When I came in complaining of side effects I was cut off cold turkey and experienced horrific withdrawal.

This doctor is unprofessional, the wait time is ridiculous, and he rushes his patients in and out. There is no time devoted to the individual, yet he's always running late. I would not recommend him to anyone.
