Dr. David Carl Fisher, MD

This was my annual physical, and I thought Dr. Fisher was professional, attentive, and caring.

Dr Fisher listened and responded to all my concerns. He prescribed the least invasive treatment

Old school. Practices only prescribing things, doesn't get to root-cause analysis. Dismisses any research I want to bring to the table. Has put me on medicine I didn't need, had to ask him to prove to me why he found medicine necessary. I'm sick of this dialogue of him thinking he knows everything. Finding new Dr. ASAP.

Went to ER for unrelieved cluster migraine. Received IV steroids and other meds but no narcotics. Migraine relieved and I went home. However it came back and I sought treatment from Dr F. He asked me "how did I like the Dilauded (narcotic) " and I referred him to the ER note. He told me steroids are never used for migraines. Did not listen when I said I had more migraines since leaving the ER and one was starting again. Since I didn't "actually have a full blown migraine that moment" he refused me any treatment. Repeated that steroids never help a migraine. He didn't listen to me. He ridiculed the MD who treated me in the ER. I left in tears. I have gone to this practice for over thirty years. I miss Dr Campbell. I will never go back.

Was cold and arrogant. Sat and talked into his dictaphone all during visit, putting in some information incorrectly. Wanted me to change to sleep medication that cost $149 vs. my current medication (which I take occasionally) that costs me $2.50. So sad to see my former internist, Dr. Campbell retire. Am looking for a new doctor.

there hasn't been a follow up. I need to call and make an appointment, I think they should call me. I may be wrong about the follow up but I don't remember one.

I am a new patient, not having seen a doctor for many years, my wife is a nurse so I am evaluated more than needed. But I wanted to start a regular pattern of meeting with a physician now that I am in my early 60's. Dr. Fisher provided excellent diagnosis and bedside manner, I am very pleased with his assessment and ability to relate to my concerns.

After Dr Webster retired, Dr Fisher became my personal physician. My experiences with him have been positive. I think the bedside manner of all physicians is being adversely affected by the fact they now must use a laptop during the exam. It takes away from doctor-patient face time but that's the way it is. He spends enough time with me to explain things and recommends follow-up testing when needed.

Where to begin....first of all I would like to say that the staff (e.g, nurses, secretaries) are outstanding and very sweet; however my experience with doctor Fisher was anything but pleasant. I visited Dr. Fisher after discovering a relatively large patch of hair missing from my head. First off, he was creepy, for lack of a better word, and made me feel uncomfortable, nothin unprofessional ; there was just something a little off about him. When I revealed my spot for him, he VERY nonchalantly informed me that I had Alopecia Areata, which causes patchy hairloss , which is devistating, especially to a women in her early 20s like me. He was extremely insensitive and immediately sent me over for bloodwork without saying much else (literally, I'm not exaggerating. He sent me in for blood work to check my vitamin count etc. I did not receive my blood results when I was supposed to, there for I had to go in and retrieve them myself (very irritating), especially after such an upsetting… diagnosis/experience) . When he met with me again, he ONCE MORE nonchalantly informed me that my blood work came back normal. He then let me know that there was nothing more to investigate and THEN had the audacity to refer to me one of his friends (who he was clearly helping out) to do a study on me ! No ! I left, once again in shambles and in tears Visit three with this dude, I discovered that I had a rash behind my ear and my head was very itchy, I had discovered from my own personal research that there is an association with alopecia areata and rashes which is called folliculitis. He ONCE AGAIN, nonchalantly lifts up my hair and checks it out for a split second before saying that it wasn't folliculitis! He then refused to run a test to see if I could have this condition or ring worm (which can also cause this) . I'm in shock at this point that he is refusing to do necessary tests to cancel out an infection, when the worst finally comes. As he's wrapping it up, gathering his things (I still have many questions that he CLEARLY dismisses and doesn't want to listen to) I ask him if he can check the bald spot one more time before he leaves to see if there is any regrowth... This jerk looks at me in an annoyed manner and says "no, I already checked it.".....he then opens the door and leaves the room!!! Drove 30 minutes sobbing over what the said to me. The best part about this entire thing is that if Dr. Fisher would have taken the time he should have, he may have discovered that my hairloss had a relation to a gluten intolerance, and simply cutting out gluten is the very thing that would eventually grow my hair back... This guy is horrible, insensitive, sloppy, curt, and just simply not someone that I would EVER waste a co-pay on again. I HIGHLY recommend that you find a different doctor before considering Dr. Fisher and the Hydr Park Internists to be your primary healthcare personals.
