More about Dr. David M Cypcar
I am a native of Wisconsin, and moved to North Carolina in 1993, in part to enjoy a more moderate 4-season climate and escape the brutal Wisconsin winters. We have found Western North Carolina to be a wonderful place to work, recreate, and raise a family. My interest in allergy and asthma stemmed from the genuine enthusiasm for the field from my mentors when I took the course as an elective as a fourth year medical student at the University of Wisconsin. Little did I know at that time that I would return to Madison to complete an allergy fellowship just three years later under the guidance of those same individuals. My interests within the field include asthma and clinical research. I am married to my wife of nearly 25 years, Betsy, and we have three children ranging in age from 15 to 20 years. During my so-called spare time, I enjoy running and working out, volunteering as a Boy Scout leader, and teaching Sunday school at our church.
