Dr. David D. Wright, MD

My husband was a patient of Dr. Wrights for several years, and I've never seen a more competent, caring and compassionate doctor, of which we had seen many - all the way from 20 years at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to the one in Jacksonville (for one year.) Jacksonville misdiagnosed a problem. and their treatment would have given him only a few months to live. Dr. Wright spent a great deal of research time, in order to find the perfect chemo that allowed him to have 18 more months with a good quality of life. Having spent 35 years with every kind of doctor under the sun, I can assure you will NEVER find a better doctor than Dr. Wright~!

DR. WRIGHT WAS ALWAYS WRONG ON TESTING OUTCOMES: Dr. Wright was always wrong when he spoke in advance of testing outcomes. He would say things like, Im not worried, I know good results, numbers are going to go down however he was always wrong. His approach gave us a false sense of hope and confidence in his approach which was not based on the reality of the situation. This prevented us from looking for alternate opinions until it was too late. I would stay away from him. SENDS YOU TO PROVIDERS THAT HE HIMSELF DOES NOT TRUST. He sent us to a facility for testing and later told us that he did not like or trust the provider. Who does that? It is peoples lives he is playing with. In the end it turned out that if additional testing had been done we would have had a different diagnosis and used different treatments. Stay away from Dr. Wright if you care about your family. DR. WRIGHT IS FULL OF HIMSELF. I think Dr. Wrights self confidence and his diagnosis and treatment methods… resulted us not looking for an alternate opinion until it was too late. He never questioned why his treatment approach was not working and did not send my mom back for additional testing. By the time we decided to do follow up testing on our own, it was too late and my mom passed away. Cancer moves way too fast. Time wasted because of self confidence is time that you cannot afford to waste. Dont rely on Dr. Wright. Go to someone else.

Dr Wright is an Excellent Dr. Very Caring and Personable Dr. I'm very happy we have him. I'm glad he's in this business. We need more Drs to be like him.

office staff is uncaring, sarcastic, unprofessional. when calling the office on hold for 15 minutes, asking to speak with the office mgr, she was not helpful in handling an appt mixup, except to say that moving forward the appts will be on a printed out sheet.All in all the office was disorganized, rude and not at all caring.

Dr. Wright appears to be a good man however he too is caught up in the corporate world as well.I am without insurance and pay as I go. It took 6 phones calls to negotiate fees and set an appointment.Then tests were ordered without my knowledge/consent against which had been agreed on beforehand. It took another several weeks of wrangling to get the office to understand this. To their credit they will absorb these costs I had not agreed to.Then I called in to have a pain prescription refilled. I was informed that I was to see my primary physician for that item.I don't have a primary care doctor - no insurance - get it?Their corporate mindset has automated their administrative responses.Sure, the personnel are very nice, however their collective organizational skills require revamping.Not all patients walk in their with golden health insurance policies.

Dr Wright is awesome. He is pleasant, intelligent, caring & listens - all that one looks for in excellent physician.

Dr Wright was assigned to me while I was in St Joseph Hospital. His bedside manner was wonderful. He took his time explaining to me what his treatment was going to be, the effects of it, and what the long term outcome would be. I called the office to get my follow up appointment and the staff was very courteous on the phone. My first office visit was a wonderful experience from the time I arrived, to the doctor showing the office and introducing me to the staff, to me leaving with a smile on my face from the warm welcome. I have never left a doctors office with such a pleasant feeling. I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone that make be able to utilize the services.
