Dr. David Franklin Rhodes, MD

I had a visit with Dr Rhodes as a result of a positive recommendation from the community. He did not introduce himself or shake my hand. His approach was very confrontational, defensive and erratic. In fact, I found him to be rude, unkind and quite hurtful. He did not listen to me as he could have approached me with kindness and concern through conversation and asking questions. I left the appointment in tears as he admitted he “could have been more kind” and “make sure you get your money back for this visit.” I have called the office manager and I went to the administrative offices at Atrium health who are helping me. So please if you read this, reconsider. I bet he would have never addressed a male patient in this manner. He berated me and tried to make me feel irrational for self advocacy. The apology I will never get is this: I am sorry to have started a dr patient relationship this way. A person in pain should not be treated this way.
