I had a very small glomus tumor under my right thumb nail. I had another consult with a different doctor before meeting Dr. Gilbert. I was in excruciating pain and just wanted relief, but, was hesitant about the procedure as explained by said doctor. My daughter found Dr. Gilbert online and was impressed by reviews, so I scheduled a consult. To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Gilbert exceeded my expectations! He was very professional, polite, friendly, and even had a sense of humor! He put me at ease about the procedure and I scheduled my surgery for one week later. My surgery was successful and I am so grateful for the care I received, as well as my recovery. I am finally pain-free and I couldn’t thank the doctor enough! In addition, the staff was also quite a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend this office enough. If you have any hand concerns, don’t hesitate, call Dr. Gilbert’s office right away. You won’t regret it!!

In an outpatient surgery, Dr. Gilbert repaired torn tendons in my dominant hand, and removed a small portion of the wrist bone that caused the tearing. Following the surgery, there were several weeks of physical therapy performed in his in-house therapy department. The result: I have full use of my dominate hand, I am out of pain, and there is no scarring. The entire experience was actually wonderful. Dr. Gilbert is a highly skilled surgeon, who is compassionate, communicates well, and readily available. He did the entire surgery himself (no hand-off to an assistant). The next day, he phoned me at home to see how I was doing. The 2 in-house physical therapists were always on-time, professional, personable, and creative in devising exercises that would speed my recovery to a functioning hand. The entire office staff from check-in to check-out were great people to work with. It does not get any better than this.

Dr. Gilbert provided excellent follow-up care to me, after a pinky fracture/laceration. He was very warm and attentive. His staff was very friendly at all times.

two month ago Dr, Gilbert did my hand after a wrist fracture i develop carpal tunnel and my finger was so swollen i couldn't make a fist so he went in and release the tension on my fingers after surgery he send me to do therapy he told me that Michelle was a certified hand specialist so i went to her thinking she was doing my therapy well let me tell you something i had her assistant she was very nice to me but i didn't fill i was getting therapy until after two month of no progress i decided to go somewhere else and let me tell you I'm glad i did cause i got real hand therapy she pull all my fingers push me to do things that Michelle didn't do massage all the dot out and gave me a compression gloves that is helping I'm glad i went to a real hand specialist sorry Dr Gilbert i Love you but Michelle has to go with her Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde Attitude every time i went you never knew what mood she would be, and didn't like the way she would treat her assistant sometime. so people do your search before you decide to use Michelle i give her a 2 for her therapy treatment.

As a piano player with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I began having pain in my right pinky and within days it would drop down vertically. I asked my PCP for a referral to Dr. Gilbert insisting to go to him as he operated on my left hand 10 years ago. He remembered me, looked at the left hand, and after X-rays, told me that my tendon tore and needed to be operated on. He did an excellent job; had no pain for the first 24 hours, and minor pain thereafter. After physical therapy, I'm playing the piano again; able to type in information for data entry, and am thrilled to have used Dr. Gilbert. He is indeed an angel with the ability to have people resume a normal life.
