Dr. David Eric Halpern, MD

If you are looking for a doctor that will give you the care you know you deserve, Dr. Halpern is the one. He gave me the attention and time that I needed to help heal my wound. He was there to encourage and take away my fear. I am so grateful to him for his care.His main goal was to get me where I needed to be and then he gave me a skin graft and did a great job without all of the unnecessary stuff that other doctors may try to put you through to make you pay more money, that are not necessary. He was never rushed when I went to see him and his staff is just like him, very caring. I rarely, if ever, write reviews to endorse a person or service but it wouldn't be right if I didn't fully articulate just how amazing our experience has been with Dr. Halpern. My wife was hit in the face by a softball which severely broke her nose, damaged her orbital socket, and damaged her right sinus cavity. Dr. Halpern himself said it was one of the worst fractures he'd ever seen in his 30+ year career. My wife is an actress so there was an obvious aesthetic concern in addition to our general fear and anxiety about how to handle this. Dr. Halpern recommended immediate surgery and we trusted his suggestion for this based entirely on the confidence he instilled in us when we met with him. The surgery was traumatic and invasive, especially having never gone through this before. But when he came out to the waiting room to update us, he informed us that the surgery was an absolute success. Since then we've certainly still had to manage her pain on an hourly basis but the… most amazing and unexpected benefit we received was his constant outreach, availability and attention to my wife. Later he told us "I marry all of my patients" and that has absolutely been our experience. He's been available via phone anytime we've needed him regardless of the question. He even met us at the ER unexpectedly the other day to help alleviate some unanticipated intense pain that my wife was experiencing. This surgery was a huge leap of faith for us and it turned out to be a surprisingly comfortable experience which is completely attributed to Dr. Halpern's personal attention and care. I would absolutely recommend his service to anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon in the Tampa area. I would even go so far as to make myself available to anyone who needs to hear a personal testimony about our experience or needs a reference of any kind. We are forever grateful to Dr. H and his team.

I went to Dr. Halpern after two 9 lb babies and 2 C-sections, one of them was an emergency C section. My one flat stomach was a wreck. No amount of exercise would get ride of the tummy role or the love handles on my back. Dr. Halpern did a series of tests and diagnosed me with a hernia and other post baby muscle and fascia damage. Dr. Halpern did an amazing job with my entire procedure and I am extremely happy with the results. I wanted someone with his background and expertise to help me get my abdomen back together via a mini-adominalplasty. His staff is also so friendly, helpful and amazing esp after the surgery and through the healing process. Other plastic surgeons wanted to just do lipo but I knew that this would not be enough. Dr. Halpern fixed my hernia and reattached everything where it was suppose to be in my abdomen. I am so thankful I went to an expert so that I only had to do this once. I highly recommend Dr. Halpern as he is the head of Plastics and Tampa General… and also a hand surgeon.

Dr Halpern spent maybe 3 minutes with me on each appointment. Treatment didn't work and his bedside manner is atrocious.

Excellent Dr Halpern Healed My Foot Ulcer when My Ortho Surgeon Ignored me and Patients Love Dr Halpern at Wound Center

The nurses were first rate, but the doctor experience was terrible. His ego will blow you out of the room, you get little to no time with the Dr. His bedside manner is juvenile, I'm incontinent, had an accident when I was sick and Halpern made a loud spectacle of it. I would not recommend, after talking with others in the many 2 plus hour waits, I switched. Top it off, I followed all his advice and didn't heal.

My Friend Told Me For A Year See Halpern For My Open Wound on Bottom Of My Foot after My Ankle Fusion But My Orthopedic SURGEON Told Me " Don't Go To Wound Center " IF Your SURGEON Tells You " Don't Go To Wound Center " GET 2ND OPINION .....PLEASE KNOW YOU NEED THE WOUND CENTER ASAP Because other PATIENTS Tell Me How Much They Love The Wound Center .... The wound center cared and my wound When My Orthopedic Surgeon would not Listen To Me

Dr. Halpern and his staff were so knowledgable on what I needed to fix as a military member they were very helpful with scheduling appointments. They explained all the options and suggested what would be best, they listened to what I wanted and made great professional advice and I couldn't be more happy in the results of my surgery. In my travels I've seen many doctors and Dr. Halpern and his staff have been top rated on my list. They are very reliable and anwsered all of my questions and then some. Great choice to make if you want a doctor and staff you can trust in!

I went to Dr Halpern for a biopsy of my nail matrix and even though it was a simple procedure i was so scared of the outcome.all I can say is that this has been the best health care experience i've had in my life. Dr halpern and his staff are really something special, or maybe they're just human. I will be forever gratefull.
