Dr. David Eugene Joyce, MD

When you go to see Dr. Joyce, you should expect to wait longer than with other doctors. But that's because he truly takes his time with each patient and makes sure he thinks through your case carefully and attends to all your needs. He's one of the most thoughtful, respectful, and intelligent doctors I have seen - and unfortunately, I've seen many doctors.

Dr. Joyce is THE BEST oncologist, as well as the most caring and concerned doctor my husband and I dealt with. He is very intelligent and also does cancer research and stays up on new ways of treatment.

His only downfall is being late for appointments, other than that, he is very thorough, very friendly, he spends all the time he needs with you, and you will not feel rushed. During my Chemo, if there was a problem, he was right there, with the nurses, he was honest, didn't pull any punches, and his staff, bar none, is the friendliest people you ever want to meet. The nurses make you feel very comfortable. I'm guessing his tardiness with appointments is because of his bedside manner and making sure his patient's get the very best care. Because of all of his good attributes, his tardiness is forgivable. I would highly recommend him if you have cancer, you can't get better treatment in Bloomington. I personally know 4 other people he has treated.
